It's actually an oil painting by Dave McKean of Dream from the Sandman comics.

Unrelated, but how come no one is talking about Heavens Gate? That was just as good, albeit an IPA

Probably because it's not going to be released in bottles.. I'd love to try that and rusted spoke, the sour they have on too.

I had it last night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Reminded me of this years Love Child but a little heavier and with more barrel character.

I'll be in the city on the 1st. I really want a bottle of this? Any likely chance of me getting this? I land at 1030 on thursday the first and going straight there probably.

This is Chicago. It is going to sell out 25 minutes after it releases on the 29th. Sorry for being the bringer of bad news :slight_frown:.

I'm loving the renewed interest in Clybourn, does that mean some of you guys can go back there when barrel aged stuff isn't on tap so that the place doesn't close down? How about we all go on Monday when they tap the new farmers market series, those have been quite good. I need my name to remain on that wall, its my only life accomplishment.

You're right; this WILL sell out in record time.

The sad irony, of course, is that only other Chicago BA's give a shit about any of these Clybourn releases, so the trade value is roughly zero. Just like the oddball FFF BA releases (ZOMG burl aged black IPA wiv frootz!), plenty of people will buy maximum bottles in hopes of trading for limited, flavor-of-the-week releases only to find that BA's in other areas aren't interested in GI things that aren't Bourbon County-related.

you mean me and my wife have to line-up, wait for two hours and when we get our 4 bottles I then will have to drink them because I can't trade them? That's not the beer community I know, you mean people actually drink rare beer? What if goose puts bottle numbers on the bottles, I mean that should land like a Cantillon Iris, right?

And why don't they just make more rare, I mean come on. Side thought - How come no asked "Chicago" the existential question if Goose Island made more rare then would it cease to be rare?

I know, it's literally the worst possible outcome.
