I don't think anything other than 64 oz screw top fit on the cp machine. If you ask nicely they might fill one for you from the tap.

They only fill 64 oz., so bring 2 32 oz. growlers and they will fill them both from tap for the price of a 64. If you only bring one 32 they will fill it, but you will be charged for a 64. Just how it is.

Ahh, that makes more sense. I assume you have to fill both growlers with the same beer, no?

Hmm don't actually know that one sorry. Never tried to do that.

I know they have filled my Russian River flip top growler without issue. Can't comment on 32oz growler fills/prices

Yes, go back somewhere on here and someone said it needed to be same beer.

Also, get a 64oz screw top filled, this way you get it filled by machine for greater preservation.

The wife and I made our first trip to Peekskill Friday night and loved it. Every single person working there seemed like the friendliest person ever - guess its nice to have a great job surrounded by great beer. I tried just about all of the beers and we had quite a few of the appetizers. I think this may be a semi-regular trip for us (at least when the weather is nice - those roads scare the crap out of me). Left with two 32 oz Simple Sours and one 64 Higher Standard that I'm splitting today.

Apparently their pricing is not set up for 32 oz. growler fills but they will fill 2-32 oz. growlers of the same beer for the 64 oz. price. That post about paying full price for a 32 oz. fill was correct but the OP didn't realize it at first. So if you only have 32 oz. growlers or prefer them [like me] since 64 oz. of the same beer is not something I like to drink in the same day, bring two and make sure you say you want the same beer in both, otherwise you'll get charged the 64 oz. price for 32 oz. of beer.

Alright, one more question. I noticed Peekskill's upstairs pub is open at 12pm on Thursdays, but the First Floor tap room isn't open until 3pm. Do they only do growler fills downstairs? Trying to plan out my trip.

Growler filling machine is downstairs for sure. I've never been when upstairs was open and downstairs was closed, but I've asked myself that same question. My assumption has been that downstairs needs to be open based on the setup. Someone else may have a more definitive answer, but if not the safe route is to go at 3 during the week. Hours are the same upstairs and downstairs on the weekend.

I was there on a Monday at Noon when downstairs was not open. After having lunch and samplings - I gave the waitress my growlers and she told me they needed to be filled downstairs, it was not open yet, and they will get someone to fill but it may take 10-15 minutes - which they did. So based on that I think they will still fill ya even if the tap room is not open.

They seriously haven't changed this yet? Had a great experience there other than getting charged 64 oz. full price for 32 oz growlers, it really shouldn't be that difficult to only charge half the price of a 64oz growler, or tell your customer about it, which they didnt. Either way i'll be back with 64 ozs or 2 32 oz'ers.

I don't know if they have or haven't changed the policy. I always forget to bring my 32 oz. growlers with me when I go there and I'll be damned if I'll buy another 64 oz. growler being that I already have 3 and I'm the only one who drinks beer in my house. Hell, even if I'm going to share, I prefer the 32 oz. size.

No, I did notice it on menu though. Is this a new beer?

Come fall time we need to get a BA gathering there.

The past couple of times that I have been there, they have filled my 32oz growlers without question but like said so many times, you have to get 2 of the same beer in both growlers. Actually, if you think about it, it is the way to go because you crack one open and still have the other on back up for when actually needed it or send it to a trading partner and you both can enjoy.

Spent an hour today debating whether I should make the 50 mile drive from Long Island up there for a growler of Higher Standard. My taste buds won out and I headed north. Got up there a little after 3pm, tap room closed. Went up to second floor, handed the bartender my growler and he put tube on tap and pulled the handle. Saw him looking in the bottle, hmmm, not a good sign, looks like nothing going into the bottle. He then informs that they are having problems with the taps and I can't get Higher Standard. UGHHH! Drove all the way up there and they can't get the beer out of wherever it is stored into my growler. Went for the Eastern Standard instead, i dont love it, but at least they have a viable alternative.

Still enjoyed the ride up there and back. Also something about getting fresh IPA from the source as opposed to searching high and low for fresh bottled beer.

    Happy IPA day everyone!

Was thinking about going up there from the city today after work but you're giving me pause, JRNYC. Did they have Amazeballs? they havent updated beermenus in over a week.
