I'm passing through Indiana next week and I'm hoping to pick up some Zombie Dust... I was just wondering how this beer ages because I would like to save some for later.

    Thanks!

Beers with citra just do not age. Absolutely do not cellar this one.

If you already have trades set up, send those out first or you'll end up with a lot of angry trading partners.....you won't want to trade it once you taste it.

I don't have any trades set up yet because I'm still not 100% sure they will have it next weekend. The only reason I was wondering about aging is because of the amount I plan on picking up.

The number one commandment of beer geeks should be:

Thou shall not age Zombie Dust!

If anyone is interested in experimenting, I have two six packs from October 2012. About a month ago I found that pouring the top two thirds of the bottle is perfectly fine, sure there's some hop fade, but it sure still tastes like Zombie Dust.

What happened to the bottom 1/3 of the bottle?

Since there is a 2 case per person limit my guess is 2 cases or 48 bottles

Honestly you probably shouldn't be considering aging beer at all if you don't understand the basics, like don't age a a hoppy pale ale.

I have left my ZD age about 1 month and it's still good.. Not as good but still good. Don't age it on purpose

I had a friend that forgot about a six pack for a year or so. We opened it. It was sad.

Age doesn't change ZD at all to me (when refrigerated at least). I very recently "discovered" 9 bottles I had left in my parents' garage fridge from last summer. Tasted the exact same as when I got it at FFF.
