Respectfully disagree. I made the drive and got a case. 6 of my 12 went to regular trading partners as a thank you with no real expectations of getting anything specific in return. 2 went to local friends of mine. 2 to help me land a huge, long time want. 2 for me to drink. Thats nine folks that are getting Rare Dos who may not have otherwise.

Exactly. I was talking with other folks in line who were planning on doing the same. And thanks in advance for the westbrook stuff. Man do they crank out the good stuff!!

I'm not saying you or anyone else is selfish or anything; you seem like a rad dude. But let's say they had 50 cases worth available. At a case limit, obviously 50 people start off with the beers. They can trade them, sure. But with a, say, 3 growler limit, then as many as 200 different people will get the beers, and they can trade 'em, too.

I definitely think that the fact they (seemingly) made more is great, because it will likely lead to more people tasting it. But the case limit doesn't have the same effect relative to more modest growler limits.

In any "case," (har har) not really a big deal. Ozzie out.

You make valid points. The thing to keep on an eye on is when their new, larger location for beer production in St. Petersburg will be ready. They had signs eluding to it in the bar but no specifics. More Pegs/Cycle Brewing is a very, very good thing.

I'm fine w/ a smaller amount of folks getting more....as long as those people aren't assholes and like to share:slight_smile:

Site is back up....RareR is out from what I see on FB....still Nooner and Rare left. Must've made more Rare than RareR. Pun intended apparently?

Was going to make the trip over for lunch (45 min ride each way) but got tied up. ::sigh:: I guess I'll be hitting the ISO:FT batch for this one. Definite bucket list item!

Nooner B1 was the Berliner, Nooner B2 was the Vanilla and Nooner B3 is the newest Single malt.

Sipping on Rarer and hazelnut DOS. About to snag some growlers as well. Sounds like there's a decent amount of rare growlers if you're like us and commiting your Sunday to running around west FL beering it up.

Opened my growler last night to find it have a faint tart smell with near zero head, with an overpowering sweetness. Did not taste anything like a stout, and no vanilla, bourbon, or chocolate flavors. It seems bad growlers of Rare DOS are out there. Just a heads up, as I haven't read anything about this before.
