How many beers do you drink at one time?

I'd say 3 is a good number for an average. Sometimes more if it's a weekend and don't have to be up for anything the next day. Sometimes less if it's during the week and just having one with dinner then one for dessert. It depends, but 3 is probably a good average. And by 3 I mean 3 12 oz beers or a bomber and a 12 oz. You know...

 

The same, usually 2-3. Usually something high on the abv but not so much that I am hurting the next morning. cheers!

3 is perfect. Last night was 7 and it was a shitty morning.

 

Never more than 15 regardless of ABV.

Maybe two on week nights, 6 on weekends. Friday night is part of the weekend in my book.

 

One at a time if it's a fairly straightforward beer. Two if I'm using each to contrast/chase the other, sour and IPA, for instance, though I might use a straightforward pils with a boost BA stout. I rarely do flights/ sampler assortments. Two at a time is optimal, I think.

 

Yeah. I would have to agree. Usually 2 to 3 a sitting or maybe a night except at tastings or bbqs.

If I'm drinking something I want to savor (such as a nice APA/IPA or Stout), I'll have around 3.

Tonight I have 8 pints of Boddingtons, so I'll probably crush all of them by the time I go to bed.

 

1-2. There are cheaper ways to get drunk and fat.

 

Try to limit to only 1 or maybe 2, on work nights.

It all depends, but usually only 3 or 4 on the weekends.
Frequently less ~ occasionally more.

 

A fifth of Jack and a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal works great for that.

Ideally no more than the equivalent of two 12-oz 5% ABV beers on a weeknight. Due to higher actual ABV and lack of discipline, it's often closer to 3. There's no precise formula on weekends, particularly if I have no big plans in the morning, but I keep aware of pace and ABV mix.

 

Interesting question. I realize I have a drinking routine. One during the weekdays with a glass or two of wine during/post dinner. Friday I usually have 3 with a slug of wine late. Saturday I have a bomber of good ipa in the afternoon, a decent beer while I cook dinner and usually a couple glasses of wine later. Sundays are top shelf beer and wine day. A really good beer that I have been saving and we open a stellar bottle of wine for dinner.

If we host or go to a friends for dinner we usuall beer taste. If we go out for dinner I have 3ish.

Daily - 2 PBR pints. followed by a good IPA for the buzz: Ithaca Flower Power, GL Commodore Perry or a Middle Ages ImPaled Ale.

 

I once witnessed a guy buy a fifth of jack and tip the entire bottle and guzzle as fast as he could. He called it the waterfall. The bartender was not impressed. He was kicked out.

 

Have to agree w/most, 3-4 at a sitting! Like I tell people, I'm more of a beer taster, not a beer drinker!
