How many beers do you drink at one time?

On average 2-3- which is really 4-5.

 

I work 12 hour nights so drinking on workdays is a no go. A couple times a week I'll drink a six pack or two to three bombers at a time, ABV and price being within normal bounds.

 

During the week, one. Saturday night, two. Party.. 3-5 + tequila.

 

I usually have enough to get a good buzz(4-6 depending on abv) then I eat dinner and I'm done. Maybe once a year, I'll really tie one on. St. Patties Day this year was that day. My bar tab was $190 and I was too wasted to sign the credit card receipt by myself. Good times.

 

Two at the most during weeknights (often just one after dinner), and usually just three on weekend nights. I'm a tiny guy and don't like going "beyond the threshold," so to say.

 

I'm on the low-end with one most weeknights and 2 or 3 on Fridays and Saturdays. I rarely drink the same style in back-to-back nights, so I try to stock at least one blond, pale, IPA, and porter/stout.

 

I should mention that this is not the case if I'm out of the house. I am very serious about not drinking to excess and driving. I will space the time with water or whatever.

 

It depends on what you mean by "at one time". An afternoon/evening BBQ is a time . Sitting in your parents basement watching reruns of "The Simpsons" is also a time.

drink till i pass out every night. on the weekends i start early, like as soon as i wake up, pass out around 3-4, wake up at 8 or 9 and get to do it twice. I don't count.

Sitting at home relaxing by myself in front of the tube, maybe 3 or 4. With friends at the bar, deck, pool etc. count me in for at least 10.

 

Never more than two per day. After that, my sense of taste is shot, and if I can't taste the beer, there's no point in drinking craft.

 

Between 1 - 4. Depends on the beer I'm drinking, day of the week, and my mood. I rarely drink more than 4 in one session.

 

About 5 in all, 3 different at least...about twice a week.

My drinking routine used to be simple: 2 bottles of shelf beer or 2 glasses of local brewery growler beer on the weeknights. On Friday and Saturday nights, I usually drink one bomber I've been saving up and 1....maybe 2....12 ounce beers after that. Sunday afternoon - another bomber and 1 12-ounce beer after that. Brewery visits and/or parties? I dont count and dont care to count.

I used to limit myself to 2 beers per weeknight for one simple reason: calories. Two good shelf beers is around ~400 calories. Depending on your size, that could be 1/4 - 1/6 of your total daily calories. When I got up to 235, I realized I had to limit myself more. Sucks.

I have a newborn baby now though so I'm up to 3-4 glasses a day. Screw the weight - my sanity is more important.

 

One on a work night. Bomber, 750 ml, or a couple of glasses out of a growler on a day off. I will drink 2 beers on a day off if they are under 5% abv. This is usually how I do it. Of course there are exceptions.

 

Either y'all are underestimating, or I have a problem.

 

I really like this question. Cheers to 1fJef for bringing it up. I am usually a 1 or 2 beer guy during the week, but weekends are probably 4 to 6 depending on what I'm drinking. If I find a particularly good beer in a six pack I'll finish it off, but if I don't love it I usually hand out a few to friends.
