The owners of Plan B in Glastonbury are in northern CA on a beer vacation. The posted a picture of themselves drinking with the owner of Bear Republic noting in the caption that the owner says they are coming into CT in the summer 2014. It's on Facebook if interested. Let's hope it's accurate.

When I see it on the shelves, then I'll believe it!!!

I don't disagree. But the fact they put up a picture drinking with the owner along with the caption gave me hope!

I saw that too! Hope it's true. Wouldn't have to go to Mass to get Bear Republic. And then we just hope that others in Cali follow suit...

I just hope if they do come to CT, enough folks buy it to keep fresh shipments coming. I'm getting bummed out about all the old Green Flash IPA's getting dusty on store shelves, and hope Racer 5 wont suffer the same fate (it, along with West Coast IPA are two of my fav. IPA's when fresh).

Do you ever wonder why theres so much old beer? CT is 48th in beer consumption, maybe that's why breweries choose not to distribute here. Not much sell through. They all debut with a splash and then we all move onto the next "hot" brand.

Been hearing about them coming for a while now. Glad to hear they are definitely coming.

I'm single handedly working to bring us up at least 3 or 4 places in beer consumption

The price points for BR are far more attractive than GF. I have never found old BR product on any shelves in any states that I have seen it. They are one of the best bang (as in quality) for your buck breweries in the US.

The picture being referenced was actually just "shared" by plan b and features the two craft managers from HDI and Franklin distributors on business to California where they were brewing the next Lagunitas fusion beer which should be available soon in ct... as for the connection to bear republic, this was an awesome stop on their beer-venture, and yes... they are as interested as all of us in getting bear republic to ct... as far as i know Bear Republic has yet to pick a distributor, but should be in our state sooner than later. I happen to know Brett and Jon (the guys in the pic) and they are true champions of the beer scene in central ct and further; and actively doing the part by always searching out great beers! cheers to you guys, Brett & Jon! Bear Republic will be very happy indeed if they are working with these two characters, as they always do a great job for us at harvest... can't wait to offer Bear Republics' awesome beers at home, another reason to skip the drive to mass! (No Offense, lol)

Great news. Now if we can get Avery and Great Divide to come back...

Avery is probably early next year, with great divide about a year behind them, or so the plan is for now... that would be three great aditions in about a years time!
