Though this will vary depending on the area that you live, let's just say that you have $20 to spend on beer today. How will you spend it?

Since I am a quality-over-quantity guy, I am going with a bottle of Fresh Hop ($7ish), a bottle of Hop Stoopid ($4ish) and a sixer of Schlafly Dry-Hopped APA ($8ish).

$20 is not much of a "spree."

$20 and "shopping spree" don't really go together.

    $20 ≠ "beer shopping spree".

(At least, for me, not since around 1973).

Two-thirds of a Bruery special release beer. Two cases of Genny Cream Ale. It could go either way.

a 4 pack or 6 pack and a bomber of the $5 kind of day? Hardly a spree, but you'll have a nice afternoon shine if you start early enough.

Maybe you should save that $20 for gas.

That would be the gas money I spent to back and forth to Cigar City. It would at least give me the opportunity to watch other people order and drink their beers there! I guess i could call it a 'beer watching spree'. Maybe if I am lucky some people will leave some beers half finished and I could polish them off free of charge.

Lagunitas Maximus 6er for $9 bucks, Bomber of Enjoy By 8.02.13 $7 bucks, Stovepipe of Dales Pale ale $3 Bucks. Hardly a spree, but actually the average amount of money I spend when I go to my beer store. And it "should" get me through the night:wink:

Yeah you could maybe afford a new pack of socks to go with your four pack of beer. Though I'm not sure if you'd feel much like you went on a 'spree' when unloading the shopping bag.

If I only had $20 I would likely just go crush the singles section and make a couple mix 6ers.

If my normal budget were $2 and I go on a $20 "spree", I would buy an Allagash Confluence or maybe 2 DFH 120's

To all who think $20 isn't a spree - perhaps the OP is a hopeless optimist and is counting on deflation.
