Thanks guys, the dates were posted shortly after I posted.

Our groups talks/plans have started, and we are still recruiting.

 

OH man that compress the line thing pissed me off, I probably lost 200 spots in line at least because of it. Ah well, I was in the third group to get bottles. I will be slightly better prepared for the cold in case, don't feel like frost nip again on the toes.

 

I am def in if you decide to do this. Please keep me posted, I am still sitting on a couple bottles I got in your box last year.

Lobo, are you doing the mystery bottle this year?

 

Last year was my first Darkness day with tbaiza and I would definitely be down for the BIF and the mystery bottle. Please let me know if you guys plan on doing that again!

 

How do the mystery box BiF work again?

 

Fifty bucks of good beer, one piece of swag(glassware prob is easiest) and ten bucks of food to keep us upright. Then we draw names for who picks first

 

Are you thinking of doing it by region like last year?

I am a bit newer to all of this but I'd love to get involved. Looking forward to my first Darkness Day.

 

Let's make this interesting, I will wager an '11-'13 Darkness mini vert

 

I have no issue doing the blind bottle BIF again. Those that don't know how it works, grab a sought after beer (one that has been ISO'ed within the last month is a good barometer) and put it in a brown paper bag. At D Day, come find me and hand me your beer, I will then hand you the last beer that I was handed. Pretty simple. Olympus usually does a Sour Bottle BIF as well. If you have any questions, hit me up. Will throw up the bottle thread closer to the day.

My brother, who's joined me for 2 years now, almost gave up after last year. He got too cold.

But over the weekend he texted me saying that he's acquired a propane heater, so he's feeling much better now. LOL!

 

Have been to the Friday night sleepover the last two years, but am considering coming up on Thursday this year. Are there other events planned at this point? Any suggestions for key things to experience on Thursday would be much appreciated.

 

With all the new tap rooms and breweries most open Thursday - Sat there'll be plenty to experience locally on that end. Not much that I remember for Darkness Day Eve Eve, usually that Friday a lot goes on but we're all freezing our arse off sharing among ourselves
