Tried Dogfish Head's 90 Minute IPA for the first time today. Picked it out as my birthday beer, but I couldn't hold out one more day.

Wow, this is a great beer. It's complex and very well balanced, with more malt presence than usually encountered in an IPA, while retaining the hop-forward character you're looking for. Loving it.

    >>>>>> New American Pale Ale Sunday <<<<<<

Checking in here from the great northwest with a pretty good pale ale out of Bend, Oregon. Mountain Rescue Pale Ale, well worth the $3.79 I think I paid for the bottle. Art work was fantastic. Silk screened not a paper label as shown on the BA site.

    Wheat harvest in full swing.

Hints of fall in the air here as the temps have dropped off 10 degrees from last week, but thankfully we still have some summer to go.

    Happy Trails!

NOTE: Bad photo. Leaning a little to the right, but that's how a lot of things are around here. ;-)

I have been patiently waiting to try this beer. I let it sit in my cellar and decided today was a great day to try it since it is another fall like day. One hell of a stout that is packed with bitter chocolate. A favorite of mine from now on! This is my night cap so I hope all of you have a fantastic night. See you all again in a week!

Long time reader, first time poster in the NBS thread. Glad to be a part of it finally!

Hit up Otter Creek Brewery today with four friends from the Italian language school at Middlebury College. What a nice little spot! And what a nice surprise to see the RIS on tap (it wasn't two weeks ago, when I last visited). I was a little disappointed by my beer, but the company was great, the food was good, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. It's also been the first hot day in a week. I was praying for a cool-down during those dog days, but five days straight of 60 degree weather was not exactly what I had in mind.

    Cheers!

    New Delicious "I Believe" Sunday

Greetings NBS and welcome back for those that missed last week. Glad to see you are feeling better.

Weather in Southern, CT was great this weekend. Our 1 year old daughter and I spent our first weekend without Mom as she was away for some fun. I think we held our own and had a crap load of fun. With that said I just had that "oh crap, its Sunday night, the work week starts tomorrow and I am just now starting to relax" feeling. Of course my wife probably feels that way every week, so it will only be verbalized on NBS.

Back to my NB and disclaimer, disclaimer the Yeti family is probably my top 2 favorite family of beers with any RIS from De Molen so take my review with a grain of salt:

Was bored on this crappy Sunday in July and had an empty growler so I decided to visit a couple highly touted stores on BA. Got the growler fill at Super Buy Rite in North Plainfield. First time having a Carton beer, 077XX doesn't disappoint.

Left Hand Milk Stout and Arcadia Hopmouth DIPA. Left hand stout was pretty good, not an overly strong stout but very tasty and drinkable, lots of bittersweet chocolate chip flavor. Hopmouth tasted more like a boozy Amber than a DIPA. Not a bad beer but I probably wouldn't buy it again.
