I'm not sure I could pick this apart from Supplication in a blind tasting.

Had one tonight, tasty! Very well balanced, but mellow.
If you are looking for a knock-you-on-your-ass sour or a cherry bomb, this is neither. I think Supplication is more bold.

We did b9 supplication alongside dogpatch last night. Dogpatch was indeed more mellow of the two. I got more barrel and more fruit on the supplication. They were both excellent though.

We're working on it! Hopefully an Almanac taproom in SF isn't too far down the road

lot of good points in this response. I work at Holiday Wine Cellar and every department from spirits to wine at times has to purchase other items to receive rare/limited items. It's part of the business. We used to get 2-3 cases of rare stuff and now it's down to one case. A lot more businesses out there carrying craft beer, the distributor has a tough job in satisfying everyone.

I am a sucker for packaging, and these bottles are the best looking ones out there.

A few bottles of the Pumpkin Barleywine made it out to City Beer Store, so I'm assuming more should hit stores by this week.

have really enjoyed all of almanac's barrel aged releases. tried dogpatch (also a neighborhood in pueblo, co) last night and enjoyed, just a little less than #s1-4. another solid brew from a fantastic brewer...can't wait for the tasting room whenever in the bay area.

We just tapped out of this at Original Gravity. Fantastic beer, the Raineer cherries are unique and the balance of sweet and sour is just right, just needs a bit of time to smooth out the edges. Really looking forward to that pumpkin barleywine next!

Kegs are up here in Seattle along with Dogpatch (we're only getting the standard bottles right now, but Farmer's Reserves in the future). The Heirloom Pumpkin Barleywine is INCREDIBLE.

I agree completely. I described it to my friends as a "light, summer version of Supplication".

Grabbed two bottles of the Barleywine. Can't wait to drink it.
