The tasting room had 2012 on tap for el Catador members and it held up very well in aging.

There's just no way I can get into pumpkin beers without it being fall-like outside. I know it tastes the same regardless, but pumpkin beers -- more than any other style -- are beers that I have to drink in season. I drink stouts year-round, but just can't do it with pumpkin beers!

Just my experience and there are probably cases where the beers do hold up well. Cheers!

Down here in Florida we don't have fall so I really do not care when seasonals are released

I have cellared Pumking, Great'er Pumkin and Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin just because I can. I wouldn't do more then a year on a bottle of them. Great'er started to have the protiens fall out, and Pumking wasn't quite as sweet any more, which wasn't a bad thing for the 2012. Just had it last night actually!

No, that one is still made by Catawba Valley Brewing. My favorite pumpkin so far, is Heavy Seas Greater Pumpkin, but you can't get it down here.
