Karbach In Houston

It was the Krogers on Buffalo Speedway, but it looks like someone seeked it out because all 15 bottles are gone as of today.

 

Went to my local Kroger today which had 6 bottles of 004 left yesterday and they were gone. They're also very low on Hop Delusion now. I hope they're making way for new beers.

 

Anybody buying Hop Delusion is in for a bad beer at this point.

 

Well good I guess.. but once I'm back in school, it is going to be harder for me to get... boo Karbach boo.. why do you hate teachers? Our only advantage is summer.

 

I've never had any problem getting any Karbach release as a teacher. Hit the places in Katy after work and get what I want. Most places out here don't get deliveries until the afternoon.

 

Sad. It was one of my favorites. I got a growler filled with it 2 weeks ago that was awesome. Other than that, the bottles were good to me.

 

Katy seems to get a lot more than the Clear Lake area.. my cousin lives in Katy and never has much trouble either.

Our HEB's down here never know when they are getting it.. usually several days after the release... and only one Specs down here is guaranteed to get most Karbach releases... and they usually only get one or two cases...

Shell station is great, but generally gets one case, and it goes fast once they announce they have it!

Ok, I'll shut down the wahmbulance for now!

 

I can't remember finding any good beer when I lived in clear lake. Kroger, H.E.B. or otherwise. Have you tried Specs?

 

Yeah it is difficult to get limited beers in clear lake. Some of the Kroger's get the Saint Arnold and Karbach releases but they go quickly.

 

Must have missed your tweet. We are planning to date bottles and are looking at our different coding options currently.

 

Please just go with the Month/Day/Year bottled on date. The other best by date/numerical day of year/ect. can be very frustrating for a consumer standing in front of the shelves trying to determine what the code means.

 

Has anyone heard any news regarding Karbach coming to Austin?

 

News update: A bottle of Karbach Hop Delusion came to Austin with me back on Jul 20. It is gone, now.

 

I heard Karbach is looking for a distributor in ATX. That's ALL I've heard.

 

I'm only worried about Karbach in Houston at the moment... and really only worried about Cherries of Fire... in Houston.. but mainly just south of Houston.

 

Had a first distro of Roshambo last night. Wow, this has developed very nice. I planned on trading it long ago but couldn't bring myself to put in a few months old IPA. Wrong decision -- was like Pineapple juice IPA. Oh well, he'll enjoy the DR13, Amber, Pumpkinator, Rodeo Clown, HD and Yule.

 

Just finished off a bottle of Roshambo. I'll definitely try that one again.

 

I know their new SA rep and, if I remember correctly, he said it's going to be at least another year before they get to Austin.
