The sequel to the thread " Are you hooked on IPA'S " that was out about a year or so ago. I've tried many styles and many beers since. But I keep coming back to the one that I enjoy best. IPA'S!!!

    Are you Still hooked???

    Happy IPA Day!!!

I always have at least three different IPA's in my fridge at all times. It is definitely my go to style.

No, its not my favorite style and in fact I'm not crazy about a lot of the ones I've tried as they are too hoppy for my liking. Its not that I can't "handle" hop flavor as my palate has advanced, I just feel that some breweries murder their beer with it. Although I tried Flower Power a few months back which was really good.

Still hooked- almost as much as I'm hooked on Pilsners/Helles. There's always one of those or an IPA in the permanent rotation to fall back on, no matter how balanced I try to be with other styles.

Heck- the first thing I crave when I'm away from American beer for a while is a nice hoppy IPA, just to mentally get back to on track. Thankfully I don't have to look too far these days  .

Nope. I love them, but I have one or two a week, and that's about it. I've moved on to lower-abv/more subtle styles for the majority of my consumption.

    Gimme almost any style
I find them all to be worthwhile
    Pilsner, Alt, and Lambic Kriek,
Beers I always crave and seek,
    Malty goodness, tart and light,
    Quenching on a thirsty night.
Stouts and porters, dark and slick,
Milk stouts oh so sweet and thick
    Browns and Milds and ESB's
In the mood, they always please.

One thing more I hafta say
One beer I want every day
    Satisfies in every way
    Makes my tastebuds scream "Hooray!!"
    Gimme a fuckin' IPA

    Happy IPA Day!

No. Of every 10 beers I have maybe one is an IPA. That said, it may have more to do with the IPAs I have readily available. I like golden colored IPAs that brim with pineapple and orange flavors.

That, and when I used to be an IPA junkie, I was fairly porky.

Been riding the session train for the last 2 years.

Had an ordinary Lagunitas IPA the other day though, and damn I forgot how good that one is.

Flower Power, Ruination and Lagunitas Maximus are always available to me, and keep me a happy camper (as well as on the porky side- although I'm working on that part lately).

I nearly got a growler of Lagunitas IPA for today, just to revisit it, but then some RuinTens fell into my lap and I just had to go with that one. Maybe next week if it's still available...

I do get cravings for hoppy beers fairly frequently, but they are not my favorite styles.

While I like other styles, IPAs remain my favorite style. I like the west coast bombs, the east coast balanced styles, and English style IPAs. but, I've yet to find a black IPA that I liked.

Have you tried "Identity Crisis" by Mad Tree brewing out of Cincinnati? Looks and pours like a Stout, tastes like an IPA.

Since it isn't even listed on this site yet, and MadTree isn't even on Seekabrew yet, I doubt he has tried it.

Have you tried Midnight Toker by Peekskill? Of course you haven't, it is a local NY, draft only, gem that isn't distributed to Ohio.

Have you tried Stone Sublimely Self Righteous? This has been one of my favorite Black IPA's for quite a while.

I am trending more towards APA's that IPA's personally. With that said, I still love a big, hoppy IPA.
