In honor of jerbears birthday I would like to drink something grateful dead related. Only things I can think of are long strange tripel by boulevard andmaybe rogue dead guy ale (though I don't know if that's a tip of the hat to the dead or not). Then of course there's that grateful dead wine... Any suggestions?

I can't help you with any suggestions, but it reminded me about the Dogfish beer coming out called American Beauty. When is that going to be released? We been hearing about it for far too long to not have this in my belly yet. I'm looking forward to it.

From day to day just letting it ride.
You get so far away from how it feels inside.
You can't let go cause you're afraid to fall,
But the day may come when you can't feel at all.

    RIP Jerry !!!

By the way, they announced the extra ingredient in American Beauty is granola. Not sure how I feel about that.
Also, release is scheduled for October.

Thanks for the update phooky! Granola wouldn't have been my first choice either but I can see how it fits.

    Just found this video....

I second the Lost Sailor, but remember, you'd best pick up some Heineken if Phil's coming over.

I know this doesn't help your problem as you do not have access to it but Sullivan's Black Forest Brew Haus & Grill in Frankemuth makes a tasty red called Grateful Red. It is on the lighter side in the body but is quite tasty and has a very high drinkability. Good luck in your search!

Found a better picture of the label. Like others have said, it should have been released today in honor of Jerry!

Happy Birthday Jerry, I'll be heading out to Sunshine Daydream later tonight as well after stopping at a local pub for #IPAday huge taplist. Got my Jerry shirt on, listening to lots of good tunes in the studio, and will raise my glass a little later. thanks for all the memories Jerry.

I honestly never even made the connection. a co worker just told me that a couple years ago they made saint of circumstance in its place because of a hop confusion!
