Most of our summer vacations have now commenced , so my question is where did you go if it also was a 'beercation", and what breweries did you visit?

I went to San Diego and visited Alpine on the way in off the "8", and bought my limit of Duet and Nelson bottles, and a growler of Nelson that my nephew and I polished off on 4th of July. I also went and spent 2.5 hours of bliss at Societe on our last day while wifey was at the mall and tried 5 of the 7 beers they had on tap. I really liked the Pupil IPA and the Harlot Belgian Ale and I purchased a glass and a growler of the Pupil in those cool stainless steel growlers that I took back to Arizona. I can't wait to go back!!

My wife's family lives about 1.5 hours north of Escondido so whenever we go back and visit them a trip to Stone is always on the itinerary

No beercation here; it's been a busy summer with lots of family activities etc.
I've made countless mini-trips down to the beer fridge and cellar though.

While in Traverse City we hit up Jolly Pumpkin, Right Brain, and North Peak. We also went to 7 Monks, an awesome beer bar.

My beercation was a staycation. I didn't go anywhere. But I did order a ton of beer from around the country (Cigar City, Russian River, Pipeworks, Three Floyds) as well as a couple of boxes from Belguim. Been staying around the home front and enjoying the hell out of great beers.

I'm doing a mini tour of breweries I haven't made it to yet in Central/SE PA. Pizza Boy Brewing near Harrisburg, Bullfrog Brewing in Williamsport, Otto's Pub and Brewery in State College, and Troeg's Brewery in Hershey.

California. Started in Alpine at Alpine Beer Company then headed to San Diego where we visited Green Flash, Coronado, AleSmith, Toronados, and Pizza Port. Then over to Stone, Iron Fist, and Lost Abbey/Port Brewing. Then up the road to The Bruery. After that it was on to San Francisco to visit Marin Brewing, Anchor Brewing, and 21st Amendment, The Trappist, and Monks Kettle. Then up the road to Petaluma to visit Lagunitas, Petaluma Market, and last stop, Santa Rosa to visit 3rd Street Brewery and of course Russian River. Pure awesomeness.

My boyfriend and I took a motorcycle trip from our home in northern Wyo up through Montana. Tamarack, Blackfoot River, Great Northern, Bayern, Draught Works, Bozeman Brewing, etc. Lots of good beer  And great motorcycle roads, we went through Glacier National Park, camped in some awesome spots. It was a good trip.

Haven't had mine yet, starts Saturday in Hermosa Beach. Will find some PTE at some of the local places. Then head south to San Diego with a stop at Stone and Societe.

Oh yeah, my wide thinks this is a beach vacation, not a beer vacation, don't tell her !

This Saturday the wife and I are headed up to VT. First stop is the Warren Store where we hope to acquire some Lawson's. Headed to Montpelier after that for more (or more likely searching for our initial bottles) of Lawsons and lunch at 3-Penny Taproom. Then up to Hill Farmstead before heading back down to Waterbury for the Alchemist and dinner at the Prohibition Pig. Checking in at the hotel up the street as we intend to stay in town for the night and walk to and from the Pig.

    VT beer cation for me...

A couple of weeks ago, we headed up to the Warren Store for some Double Sunshine and headed to Waterbury for Heady Topper. After there, we headed to Greensboro for Hill Farmstead. On the way back to 89, we stopped at Lost Nation and the Von Trapp Lodge. Once in Burlington, we met up with my cousin at The Mule Bar in Winooski for a couple of beers.

The next day brought an IP trade with oldp0rt and then a stop at Fiddleheads. While waiting for a new beer to go on tap, we crossed the street for some wine, but returned shortly for some Hoodad growler fills. Next stop was Magic Hat because that's where craft beer started for me many years ago. After Magic Hat, we had some samples at Switchback. For dinner that night, we stopped at American Flatbread/Zero Gravity for beers and dinner. VPB was packed because the Brewfest was evacuated, so the next stop was Farmhouse Grill. Awesome selection including Heady on cask and Cantillon on draft.

On the way back to Massachusetts, one last stop at Hunger Mtn Coop for some out of market beers. Only three days, but hope to keep the tradition going next year.

Two buddies and I are going to Bend in less than 3 weeks. Plan is to hit up the 10 breweries on the Ale Trail plus maybe a couple more. Will post more details after the trip, but needless to say I am super pumped!
