I think WI has 50-60 breweries. Top 20 in somewhat random order:

    New Glarus
    Central Waters
    Tyranena
    Ale Asylum
    O'so
    Capital
    Karben4
    Titletown
    Lakefront
    Milwaukee Brewing
    Pearl Street
    Stevens Point
    Sprecher
    Leinenkugel's
    Sand Creek
    Grumpy Troll
    Big Bay
    Black Husky
    One Barrel
    Vintage

Not sure I can think of too many more, although I'm sure I'm leaving someone deserving off the top 20. 1st 3 listed are definitely the 3 best imo; after that it gets tough to rank them in any meaningful order.

Agree with B's list (don't forget Hinterland though). NG and CW, and to a slightly lesser extent Tyranena are the most interesting ones out here. The rest kind of blur together, although I enjoy drinking Vintage on tap at their brewpub every now and then.

    2.Funky Buddha Brewery
    3. J Wakefield Brewing Co.
    4. Pegs Cantina & Brewpub
    5. 7th Sun Brewery
    6. Rapp Brewing Co.
    7.Aardwolf Brewing Co.
    8. Gravity Brewlabs
    9. Fermentation Lounge (who’s beers are brewed by Golden Horn Brewing Co.)
    10. Swamp Head Brewery
    11. Intuition Brewing Co.
    12. Saint Somewhere Brewing Co.
    13. Pinglehead Brewing Co.
    14. Green Room Brewing Co.

These are the one's that I think are the top 14. I havent been to many of the small brewpubs in south Florida but I couldn't think of another 6 that were worth of being named as a "top" 20 brewery (if I havent been there I apologize and will add you in the future).

Yeah, I definitely forgot Hinterland. Could also make an argument for Furthermore, Potosi, Dave's Brewfarm, or 3 Sheeps

We don't even have 20 in Louisiana, but if I was to make a top 3 I would say:

    Abita
    NOLA Brewing Company
    Parish Brewing Company

That probably only leaves 5 breweries off the list. I left Chafunkta off the list because they only make 2 beers and have very limited distribution right now and I doubt anybody has really ever heard of them.

Angry Chair is another FL one that is good. Not sure where it would fit in that hierarchy... they are opening a tasting room very soon.

I like this list. The only problem I have with this is Jester Kin. For me, their best beer is the BA special stuff (not salk lick haha) and their normal stuff is just so so. I would switch JK with Real Ale. But overall you did a great job on this.

I'm not even gonna try to rank 'em, but here goes:
    1. Big Time 2. Naked City 3. Fremont 4. Black Raven 5. Chuckanut 6. Boundary Bay 7. Silver City 8. Elysian 9. Schooner Exact 10. Skookum 11. Snoqualmie Falls 12. Diamond Knot 13. Kulshan 14. North Fork 15. Sound 16. Ruebens 17. Anacortes 18. Pike 19. American 20. Georgetown. Others receiving consideration: Snipes, Roslyn, Alpine, Big Al, Dicks, Flyers, Port Townsend, North Sound, Old Schoolhouse, Icicle. This was much harder than I thought it would be.

Thats pretty much my rank. Ccb bounces around depending on what beer (cough helles lager cough) but jai alai alone is enough to keep them at or closer to 1 in my opinion not to mention their stouts. But beyond that I think they deserve the number one spot out of respect alone for putting Florida where it is in the craft beer community (and their beers support that spot). Bold city erm... well bold City and another brewery that I shall refrain from naming were excluded because their beer is not worthy of mention or their glassware giveaways and business practices regarding limited beer are unacceptable.

oh please send me there name in bm please so i can avoid them.:grinning::grimacing:

I did not rank breweries because as you said each of them may make a killer beer, you can compares beers, but how do you really compare breweries? Sure you can rank anything... but its just a subjective opinion.

yea even CCB has made some terrible beer over the years....

all breweries miss the mark from time to time, but more often than not, they hit home runs.
Jai Alai, White Oak Jai Alai, Humidor series, Huna, Maduro, Good Gourd, Zhukov... just so many top notch items, never mind all the variants that show up brewery only, like Peach Humidor IPA, etc.
For that reason, you can rank breweries pretty easy, even if it is subjective. There will be a trend. CCB pretty much always is at the top of florida lists for a reason.

    Indiana

    1. Three Floyds (duh, annexed by Illinois)
    2. Flat 12 (Josh is super innovative and willing to try new things)
    3. Upland (toughest to gauge because the sours are awesome, but not easy to get any longer)
    4. Sun King (don't can enough of their limited stuff, pricing)
    5. Triton (very solid lineup, Railsplitter is very good on draft)
    6. Brugge Brasserie (draft only, do some great sours from time to time)
    7. Bier (draft only but they do some styles really, really well. They're just small)
    8. Daredevil (draft only, have some really nice beers though)
    9. Broad Ripple Brewpub (do English styles really well)
    10. Cutters
    11. Fountain Square (solid lineup)
    12. Oaken Barrel (Gnaw Bone is underrated)
    13. Rock Bottom (diamond in the rough?)
    14-16. See below
    18. Figure 8
    19. Barley Island
    20. New Albanian
    21. People's

This is where Crown, Back Road, Three Wisemen, and Shoreline fall in, I guess.

I haven't had enough of Bloomington Brew Co. or Indiana City to judge.
