    celebrating IPA day (kind of) a bit late. rattle n hum once again proving to be the only bar in manhattan worth going to (stag's head ok now and then, ginger man always overcrowded and overpriced but often some winners on the menu, pony bars rarely worth the trek, blind tiger consistently pedestrian. burp castle has its niche appeal, but they don't keep the best beers on tap these days).

    firestone walker DBA
    firestone walker wookey jack
    stone ruinten

    almost positive the ruinten is some mislabeled barleywine--and a fucking good one. tastes a bit like lagunitas gnarlywine. awesome.

    sculpin always close to top tier when fresh.

    DBA balanced and flavorful.

    wookey jack potently hoppy.

    great stuff.

    Some Sculpin from a sixer, pretty fresh bottle. Still prefer the tap version, good stuff though.
