Just a warning to all interested traders...between a few buddies and I we've opened up 4 growlers over the last two weeks. One was good, but the other three were highly infected. Tart red wine, way over carbonated and super thin being the dominating, consistent traits across all three. Slightly vegetal as well. Not that drinkable overall. Just a warning in case you're looking to trade for one.

    Cheers,

    Ryan

There has been a thread in the South Atlantic section talking about this for at least a week now. I don't think anyone is hiding anything. Some are infected and some aren't, but Peg's and Doug are trying to make it right.

funny then that none of the people trading it have noted that it might be infected in their posts.

Yeah, there are quite a few people looking to trade them right now and I'm not sure if they know about the issue or not but I hope people are alreted to what they might be getting into.

Some of them might not know, they may not check this area or the SA forum. I know plenty of us stopped unloading them when we saw this. I'm taking my remaining growlers back to Pegs for a refund.

I'm 1/2 infection-wise. Have one left that I may try to get back to Pegs for a taste test.

I did get an awesome (and unexpected) BM from 'em last night. Very cool for such a small place.
