I'm flying up north tomorrow from Long Beach to see the Wife who is currently working in Portland. She works up there often enough that we would like to take the trek out to Hood River on Saturday to see the Logsdon Farmhouse.

Their website is pretty vague regarding visits and gives a # to call for brewery tours. My question is... Do they have a tasting room you can visit? Or is it just the tour?

I do realize the size of the actual brewery but is a reservation needed? Am I too late with trying to book tomorrow morning? Any other recommendations out that way?

Any and all help is much appreciated.

Sweet. A great read. Good advice on Solera to finish the night as well.

So can we just show up at noon and be OK? The article doesn't really mention how the tasting room is run.

Their facebook shows they're open Friday and Saturday noon to 4....so yeah you should be good.

Would it be wrong of me to romanticize Logsdon as a NW version of Hill Farmstead without the lines, crowds and hype?
Looks like such an idyllic place to make and drink great beer.

I have no issue with this. I'll put up Peche n Brett against almost anything.

No reservation. I was up there two weeks ago. I strolled right in and received the grand tour. I updated beerfly for reviews.

BTW. Do not rely on GPS just look for the barn in the distance. You will enjoy the stop.
$5 gets you 5 tasters of good stuff and if you buy a bottle you drink for free. I grabbed a few bottles there and some glassware.

Try the Aberrant Golden Farmhouse. They also had Cerasus, Fresh Hop, Seizon Bretta, Oaked Bretta ready to drink.

Tasting room is small, standing room only. You might find the pooch hanging out and the lady working it is very nice. They have a glass case with glassware, bottles and swag. Try to bring cash because they had some card issues when I was there.

I love this place so much! Great beer, beautiful property and one of the coolest small breweries i have been to. The owner (Dave) is a yeast guru. I realaize this post provides no usefull information, but I just wanted to say excellent choice!

A good review is always useful. I'm definitely stoked for this trip.

Thanks for the info fellas! The fam and I are planning a day trip to Hood River/Logsdon mid-August. Out of curiosity, is peche & brett available at the farmhouse, or are they in the process of making a new batch?

    C'mon... What are scared of?

Besides the fact that HF makes 100 more beers than Logsdon and the whole country could get set in an uproar???

Kenny Logsdon is so much cooler than Shaun Hill.

They had it when I was there last, (which was a while ago) and I have seen it around portland at the bottle shops recently so it should be there.

I was at Logsdon this weekend - no Peche nor Cerasus. Everything else was available. Great place and super friendly folks, can't recommend it enough.
