My favorite was at a tasting where Pumking and SA Pumpkinator were mixed half and half.

Schlafly Pumpkin is my favorite and with a splash of bourbon, it is sublime.

Yeah...I really like pumpkin ales. Fall is probably my favorite season, and Halloween my favorite Holiday. These beers have become a big part of that for me.

Without question, hands down the very best pumpkin beer and perhaps the best new beer I had all of last year, as last year was the first time I tried it:

Couldn't agree more, those are all great. Cisco Rumple Drumpkin is a good varietal. I've laid off of pumking since I found out it was artificially flavored. Fishermans is easily their best offering. I would add punkin head to the list as well.

    Love the avatar btw.

out of what I've had so far...
    #1 Good Gourd
    ... huge gap here
    #2 Pumking
    ...huge gap here
    #3 Weyerbacher Imperial
#4 Shipyard Pugsly's <-- less pumpkin and more pumpkin seed... but surprisingly not bad.
    ... huge gap here
#5 everything else, not worth naming.

nevery had schafly though, but i'd expect it to be somewhere near Pumking.

    I love beer...and I love pumpkin...but I detest pumpkin beer.

I do, however, have a bottle of Allagash Ghoulschip, which I guess is brewed with pumpkin, as well as pumpkin seeds, and molasses, which I intend to open and share with friends at some point this fall.

Schlafly is my favorite. Nice dark orange/copper color, full pumpkin flavor, and has all those great fall spices. Can't beat ~$30ish a case either. ST Pumking is a close second, and I'd say Weyerbacher rounds out 3rd but I haven't had this years batch.

Totally forgot about Heavy Seas Greater Pumpkin, shame on me. I may be biased, but I think Heavy Seas has one of the best barrel aging programs in the US. They're one of the few breweries whose beers I can actually pick out the flavors of the barrel it was aged in.

I think it should be illegal to release pumpkin beer before september

I just finally had Good Gourd for the first time, and it's definitely that. No other pumpkin beer really competes. Pumking is a distant second, and Punkin is a distant third.

Schlafly isn't available here, but I'd like to try that, and I'll try the Weyerbacher when I get the chance.
