I finished off my Wolfgang with dinner a while ago...

Listening to some Swedish melodic death metal (lol)...

And now, before I watch the Dexter episode (that is recording as I type), my last beer of the day:
As I've said before, I haveta pour beers like this into pints...
My second John Henry ale from Cold Spring Brewing
    [IMG]
Looks like this in the glass:
John Henry Colonial Cream & Brown Ale (aged on brandy oak spirals)
Decent enough - an "American strong ale" - geared to blend cream ale and brown ale, plus the brandy spiral component. A thoroughly enjoyable brew - and with some kick to it, too, coming in at 9.3 abv.

Alrighty, then - hope y'all have a great week - cheers to new beers! :grinning:

This is a citrus bomb but not puckering.
It hits the taste buds on many different levels.
I wish I had more than one of these.

Happy New CANned Beer Sunday from Colorado!
Greetings thou Fans of the CAN,
I have been in Colorado since last Sunday, visiting The Old Lady since a) she did not come to Philly for NHC and b) I had time during my summer off and Amtrak miles to burn, so when the mountain failed to show up, Bro. Woody came to the mountains. It has been kind of a whirlwind of a trip with me utilizing public trans to its greatest effect and I have been indulging in my CANned beer hobby to the best of my ability. I am hoping to meet the mayor of Glendale before I leave on Wednesday in my fact-finding mission in the hopes of being elected mayor of Lancaster, PA. We visited the CO RenFaire yesterday and we reprised our infamous look of the Trappist monk and the beauty in the micro-mini Wallace clan tartan kilt. I am still scourging myself in the backyard to rid myself of the impure thoughts. In the meantime, we kicked off our Sunday in CANtemplation with:
and since she is the Queen Bee of her hive and Ma Petite Abeille, we had something in keeping with her stature:
then, inspired by yesterday's events, we went medieval on Zed's ass:
We then retired long enough to do a reboot and since none of us felt up to Bloody Marys, we used this as a substitute:
then we laid into the saisons:
before taking a break so that I CAN make an entry before it just gets too late. I CANnot adequately describe what a great woman she is. Like me, she is of the biker life without being in the biker life and as a homebrewer, meaderist, apiarist, BJCP judge and general beauty, she really does it for me. She assures me that if I get elected mayor that she will come east for the inaugural ball and we will also be meeting in Lincoln, NE over the weekend of 28 Feb 2015 as I jointly celebrate my 50th birthday with Val Midwest on her 21st.

The Old Lady suggests that I provide a link for Val Midwest ( http://valmidwest.org/ ) in case you wondered about the allusion. Her birthday is 14 Feb and mine is 25 Feb and we are proposing a fundraising event at a venue in Lincoln, NE TBD for the party. Mark your calendars now and come out to join us. It should be a rollicking good time!

Though I'm currently workin' on a New Belgium Rolle Bolle, I'd still like to give a shout out to Avery's The Reverend that I had for the first time this past week. My numbers may not be as high as I normally give for most Quads, but I liked it for the most part, thought it was complex enough to see if I could find it again this winter - more so as a cold night's winter sipper just to warm the throat a tad !
