Is Founders Mango Magnifico trading at a decent level? What kind of value can one look for?
Will it bring a Brandy Huna or a Bud Light?

It will trade for exactly what it is, a limited release that is available on shelves and saw a fairly wide distribution. Trade it about $4$ with similar beers. Seems straightforward to me.

So glad Founders distributes to Texas now.

it'll probably trade a lot like frangelic and bolt cutter did: people buying a ton of it and then whining when it's not the new cbs because it actually turned out to be terrible, and it will thence linger on shelves pretty much everywhere but chicago.

edit: have not had mango, i'm just speculating on how it will go.

Early returns suggest your speculation is on point.

I'm hearing different. It's obviously no CBS or CBH, but I hear it's head and shoulders above BC, FMB, and Doom. Eager to pop open one of my bottles later this week. And it's fetching me what it should in trades: somewhat limited shelf releases that cost around $13.

Maybe you're just hearing it from others with bottles to trade.

It's not bad, its just 'different', no better or worse than any of the above... It's all about personal tastes but I would rank them as FMB < BC <= Mango << Doom. Nothing special here, should be easy to trade for, local stores around here have cases of it with no limits.

I'm starting to see a trend here...and not forseeing much of a trade value either.

BTW, I had it the other night and it's decent on tap - but I haven't heard any good reviews on the bottles.

I opened my first bottle last night, and I'm a big fan. It goes especially well with thai food.

I should disclose though that I have traded and will continue to trade Mango (I like it a lot but there are cases still available around here). It's a pretty darn good beer, but it is what it is: a $13 limited release beer that should sit on shelves for a month or so. It should trade for the same type of thing (e.g. Abductions, New Glarus fruit beers and sours, etc.), and that's what I've been trading it for. I have made one trade for something bigger, but I threw in other add-ons to that took the $4$ to somewhere just under 2:1. This isn't a wale, but it's not FMB/Bolt Cutter either.
