I've been the last couple of years and don't remember phat booty abounding. That being said, i was in attendance with an korean chick in black yoga pants last year, if you're into that sorta thing.

Any improvements you guys are looking for over last/past years?

I dont know how it could be too much more awesome than it already is, 'cept maybe speed up the line a bit? Dont even know if the arts center has more than one entrance though, or if thats logistically feasible with the amount of volunteers, but would be nice...

Ps: After the lift got stuck last year, I asked one of the organizors what the chances are of it happening again next year. He said, elevated!!!!

 

Some better ventilation. The event got pretty warm pretty quick.

 

Go through the line ahead of time and check off Imbibe membership like they did ID's to give you a wristband. The bottleneck once you got in and they had to check your name for Imbibe really ate into that initial hour.

Agree, if it's possible to open those windows do it before it's already 90 degrees in there.

also, did they have food last year? i didn't see any except for back in the brewers VIP area. would be nice to have a quick bite about 2 hours in.

 

GI brewpub had some food for sale. Pretzels, sausages, etc. They had a table on the wall near the good elevator (the one that wasn't an open lift).

 

Goose Island (the brewpub) had a table set up with pulled pork sandwiches, a sausage or two... probably nachos? Probably similar to what they had at the 25th Anniversary Block Party or Lolla.

 

was this over by the bcbs "station?" seemed to have missed the food. that's bummer because GI usually has sausages from Paulina. thanks for that heads up.

 

More water and rinsing stations.

 

Yep, near there, but against the wall instead of a free-standing display.

Agreed, or at least a quicker method of switching out empty containers. Water vessels would sit empty for 15-20 mins at a time and I had spend 15 minutes hunting around and then waiting in line for the lone container that had water.

My favorite part of this thread is people trying to answer PDZ's question about improvements and the only things that come up are small, nit-picky problems.

Because FOBAB is the best beer festival.

 

personally I don't like the finish on the wood floors!

 

Well, I mean, this goes without saying. And the design of the building? Psshhhh!

 

And received complimentary handies, so it wasn't all that bad.
