I'm not sure what kind of bright tank capacity they have, I know they're a very small operation so I would guess it isn't huge.. HOWEVER, I would assume that they had to have combined barrels in some way... The beers from Barrel A and Barrel B could likely be VERY different, even if base beer was identical and each barrel had previously aged identical spirits...

I'm just trying to figure out the percentage of infected growlers and how many barrels were used in total... I'm just looking for a full breakdown in stats for the beer...

This has no bearing on infections. Some people I've sent to have received good ones, some bad, I've had both as well. Shipping growlers is not a problem (especially the swing tops) if packed properly.

Opened my final few Rare over the past 24 hours. 4 out of 6 infected here...

So much for the 'non-Florida curse'

I don't brew myself, but the two that were okay got consumed within 72 hours of purchase. I can't help but wonder if they too would have been bad had I waited? Or is infected beer typically immediately noticeable?

Oh well, I'm sure Peg's will do right by us and I'm hopeful that my Nooners will be okay!

I had a Rare Nooner shipped to me, tasted amazing, not infected.
Of course it got to me in one day, and went from the west coast of FL to the east.

Three Rare's, two RareR's and a Nooner down, all absolutely delicious. Holding out hope for the four remaining growlers in the fridge.

I had RareR today and it tasted fantastic. I did hear from a trade partner that the two Rare I sent him were infected. I guess two out of twelve isn't too bad.

So far i've had 2 infected Rare Dos growlers and a delicious Nooner growler. Will be opening the final Rare Dos on Saturday along with a Nooner. Hoping i can at least get 1/3 on the Rare Dos. Just sucks that i traded for these bottles and now am in limbo between asking the trader or pegs to try making me whole again :slight_frown: It's kind of a grey area.......

If it doesn't get made right for you, BM me and i will send you a non-infected growler for a label.

I opened my other two growlers today and unfortunately they were both infected. 0/3 for me.

Doug, it's awesome to see that you'll be making this right for people. You can expect an email from me shortly.

0/2 for rare so far. Once you crack it open, the infection just becomes worse and worse. First sip was kinda tart and the second was full on tart cherries and tons of vinegar. Nooner was luckily delicious, smelled like straight up rye bread and whiskey.

Cracking a third bottle tonight from a different trading partner... Hope it's not infected.
