I like their beer. I like their labels. I don't give a shit if they are creased or crooked. I don't buy their beer to refill bottles with homebrew. If this is such a problem, buy another breweries beer. With straight, uncreased labels. And refill said bottled with homebrew... Cheers!

This whole conversation is a bit ridiculous. As others have said, it is not a brewery's responsibility to use labels that come off easily. Plus, if you can get FFF just enjoy it and use something else for homebrew bottles. I gave up on caring about labels after about batch 15 anyway, too much of a hassle.

    Really?

I think it's safe to assume most consumers of FFF beer don't really care about the labels being crooked or creased. I know I could care less and as long as the product in the bottle is good. I think point proven that most don't care because their beer sells out crooked labels or not.

I will say that especially ZD labels were always partially hanging off the bottle somewhat but the case I just picked up a few days ago are completely adhered to the bottle. Maybe due to their recent bottling line enhancements? Either way its what inside the bottle that counts.

Because crooked/creased/cheap labels are so metal.

    No you didn't.

    They're crooked - Who cares?
They have creases - Who cares?
Homebrewers can't reuse them - Why not? and Who cares?

Looks to me like you gave zero valid examples of anything.

I don't have any issue removing the three floyds labels with just hot water

Breweries should focus on the beer, labels are a secondary concern. I really do not think the labels are slowing their sales any so I doubt the care in the slightest.

The homebrew argument is one of the worst you can make. First, just because the label does not come off does not mean you cannot refill the bottle. Furthermore, I would appreciate breweries paying attention to the cost and efficiency of their labels rather than if they are homebrew friendly.

While I think alot of this thread is ridiculous, deep down I hope this is just trolling HOPKING. God forbid anyone ever criticize FFF, if you do you're probably a Bell's fan who is jealous of the super awesome beer they make.

Don't get me started on their affiliation with the heavy metal genre. Different topic for a different day.

Why is everyone so stuck on my homebrew reference rather than this key point:

This brewery should take a note from the breweries that are using the nice vinyl labels as they present a much better appearance and can also be removed cleanly and used as stickers to put on coolers and such...advertising.

since they got their Braukon brewhouse and overhauled their bottling line, the packaging has gotten a lot better. No crooked labels. Art was always awesome, but seems much more consistent as of the past month or two.

I'm sure if you contact FFF with your concerns they'll be happy to brew up special batches of beer just for you with the kind of labels you request.

I'd much rather have any brewery focus first on the contents, rather than the packaging. I believe we BAs should be much less concerned about marketing since we are already obsessed with beer. Doesn't really take much effort to sell to us. Westvleteren certainly has no problem.

When I think of cheap labels, Three Floyds definitely doesn't come to mind.. never have I ever thought that their labels were half-assed (and I'm not talking about the art)..

i don't know about you, but i have zero issue removing labels from 3 floyds bottles. give it a nice hour-long oxiclean soak and they come right off, maybe they need a little bit of steel wool assistance but not a ton.

now two brothers bottles on the other hand can go fuck themselves in that regard.
