So I'm in a bit of an awkward situation. I set up a trade with another user, and we both agreed to ship out yesterday. My box went out in the morning and I supplied him a tracking number as soon as I got it. I did not hear from him during the day, so I waited and sent him a message to see if he had shipped out. Today, his profile is deleted and I have still not heard a word from him, even after attempting to contact him via text and phone call. What would you recommend doing? Before his profile disappeared he was a member since 2009 with trade history. I know it has only been one day, but the timing is a little worrisome.
You might want to post his handle and see if anyone else knows/can contact him. Sounds like he may have been banned... which happens a lot these days.
Like Mark said, it doesn't seem like a bad trader situation yet, more like him being banned. If he's been around since 2009 and is a reputable trader then others probably know him and can get in touch with him. I would post his name ASAP and see if anyone knows him or has had a recent bad trade experience with him so you can at least halt your box or have it returned. Again, this isn't a bad trader situation so there is no harm in telling us his name.
I've never traded with him but he was quite active and a reputable BA from what I know. Hopefully someone who knows him will see this soon and get in touch with you. I can't say with certainity but I think you'll be fine, he'll come through for his end. Don't take my word for it but I wouldn't be worried.
I'm not sure if it was a ban or not. It just says his account is inactive. If anyone knows something please let me know. He was very good at communicating and nice so it was kinda odd not hearing from him. Thank you for the help guys
Ok, he got back to me (via text), I think we should be all set. Thank you for everyones advice/help again. I do want to emphasis that this was not me stating in anyway that beerandraiderfan was a bad trader. I was only looking for advice on what others would do in my situation. Thank you again!
