Been following this on twitter. Scum. Subhuman scum. And oh yeah, The Daily Mail is a disgrace to both journalism and humanity in general.

So will Red Bull also be suing Big Red, Red Robin, Red Hat, the Red Sox, Reddit, etc.? How about those Redwall books I read as a kid?

If I didn't speak English, I might confuse the two...

nah, just kidding. There's no way anyone would confuse one brand with the other. It's a completely frivolous lawsuit, if I drank "red bull", I'd boycott it now.

I collect energy drinks, so trust me when I say that Red Bull is one of the most overpriced and worst-tasting energy drinks on the market. Plus there is no way anyone would confuse the two. It's beer and a crappy glorified soda.

Is "Blue Ox" energy drink still available? I thought that was hilarious when those came out but Red Bull probably went after them too

This is one of the most f**ked up lawsuits in a while. Although i do not consume energy drinks, I respect Red Bull as a business and how they have grown over the years. I hope they lose this one although the interpretation on the law is somewhat different in Europe as compared to the U.S. Good luck to Redwell

What about Red Bull Malt Liquor (since this is a beer forum and all)?

Phew, good to see Red Bull are out there making sure we don't accidentally buy beer instead of energy drinks. I remember when I was going to have a pot of Tetley tea and ended up accidentally having eight pints of Tetley Bitter.

I'd like to think this thread had everything to do with Red Bull changing its decision.

Is it still legal to add caffeine to beer in England, because if it is and I were Redwell I'd make a caffeinated beer and call it bull piss

This story reminded me of Hansen Soda & Monster Energy trying to block Rock Art's Vermonster beer from using it's rightful name a few years back.
Because of that frivolous suit, and other examples of Hansen's bullying, I stopped buying their natural sodas.

Another entry on my "if I win the lottery to-do list" is to pay for defense of frivolous lawsuits for small businesses that can't afford to defend themselves and capitulate instead.
