Grow some skin and take ownership of what you did with your post. If you don't realize that derailing this thread was, in fact, your own doing, then I don't know how to help you.

Also - Member Since: Jul 16, 2013 - so I'm not totally convinced you're not just some previously-banned troll.

I am not even going to respond to all of the negativity and hope he mods will delete all of the above negative posts so we can get back to discussing this great brewery.

So did anyone get to try the Very Sour Blackberry yet?

I'm still waiting for the fruits of your research into the Careys' massive donations to the Obama campaign. How's that going?

Maybe "next door" is hyperbole? Dunno.

In any case O'so is a good visit. I was there two weeks ago and enjoyed it a bit too much.

    Hello Dad,
I'm the Brewmaster at New Glarus Brewing. Tell your kids that strong, intelligent women run successful businesses. The Two Women are Deb Carey, Founder and President of New Glarus Brewing, and Sabine Weyermann, the maker of the malt used in that beer. Two Women. The story is on the label. What did you think it meant!?
    Sincerely,
    Daniel Carey

    Whoosh?

Maybe should have included a sarcasm tag, but I thought it was pretty dripping.

Maybe you should go back and read your original post.

I'm pretty sure your're the one who introduced the non-beer aspect to this thread.

I agree that I found it "dripping," but the smilies do come in handy in situations -- not all of us were raised on Mad Magazine and MASH.

Fair Question. Sorry for freaking out!

As a brewer I very much like reading what you all think of my beers. It helps me hone my craft.

However, when trolls spread lies about me I feel compelled to react. Their fear mongering may be humorous and pitiful but I will not stand for false accusations

But … most of us are here for the beer so let's get back to the real deal.

Today we’re bottling our Thumbprint Imperial Weizen - I added a bunch of Oregon Cascade from Goschie Farms this year (Gayle Goschie is one of our hop farmers - another women owned business!). I think it tastes pretty good. Needs to bottle ferment for a few weeks so you should see it out in the world by September.

BTW - Before you ask - 9.2 ABV

    Cheers,
    Daniel Carey

    Oh NO!

BTW -- For those of you who may have never met Dan, he's the salt of the earth and his passion for brewing good beer is more authentic than any of our passions for drinking beer.

    Kegs or just bottles?

We missed the opportunity to grab one of the 7 or so sour kegs that hit the Madison region, and you guy's don't seem to like kegging the wheat beers. Would suck not being able to carry three thumbprints in a row on draft :slight_frown:

I haven't had any NG beer since I left Wisconsin in '08. But an Imperial Weizen? That I have to see! Would be nice to time a job interview with the release date... but both are still in the making...

Pretty cool Dan is on here...I stopped by NG on Sunday after GTMW and had a great time; I'm actually right by the door in the picture that was put on FB in the R&D line. I've been bragging about the entire weekend to my neighborhood buddies, and plan on making a day trip back in November when we're back visiting my in-laws again.

Not to mention the beer is pretty damn amazing too! Huge NG fan, and 4-5 times a year I can get it damn easily...and do.

While the many of you discuss the popularity contest held for rich men every 4 years, great beer is being made. If beer bores you, there are several cable news networks that I am sure will be to your liking.
