He came in last night and picked up 4 cases. On sale for$45

 

Well looks like no one in Central Florida will see any of this beer then! He is going to put it above his shelves and it will sit there for years and collect dust.

 

Local ABC says they will get 2 cases. So TW and other ABC's will as well.

 

Any idea when?

 

I wonder when this will start trickling out?

 

It took MZ a week to get here so probably next week.

 

You guys have any tips on how to get these releases? Other than searching total wine's inventory checker and pestering ABC over the phone, I am at a loss. Sometimes I think the store employees by our the special release stock before it even hits shelves here in Orlando.

 

i just find out when the local CCB distributor usually delivers to my favorite store and show up about the same time.

Also I buy A LOT from this store and the manager will usually hold a bottle or 2 for me.

 

Gene, you must spend a lot of bones at the store . I used to spend a good amount of $ at a store near me, but they no longer get limited releases from CCB or much of CCB .

 

Meh, I spend my fair share, but I also spend a fair amount of time shooting the shit with the Manager.

 

I work at a beer store in Lkld and our distro has said that there is no chance because it will only go to Brown's "top accts" It's so much hassle trying to get anything good in our store, we had to fight so hard for a case of GG and a case of MZ

Just talked to our Brown guy and he said they are working on their allocations right now. It looks like it will mostly be going to on-premise accts with them because it is a numbers game and off-premise stores can't get enough product in to sell enough to be considered for limited release allocations.

 

Who the fuck wants to pay $50 to drink at the Brass Tap?

I hate that place. It is way too packed, too expensive and full people who are there just to get drunk.

 

Well its not looking good for me to find one in Lakeland while I'm there.

 

Yeah, sorry to rain on your parade but I live here and it's not looking good either.

 

How is it compared to world of beer? We are getting our first one in Orlando. Sounds like I will be sticking to redlight though.
