Thirty ticket is a lot. The floor was littered with them towards the end of the first session.

Glad to see the date change for the on sale, it'll be much easier to coordinate buying from home versus work.

I checked the email receipt I got last year. Said $45 face. But perhaps they ran deals?

Not the cost, drink tickets. I think it was 18 drink tickets last year.

I thought it was 20 tickets last year and then you could buy more if you ran out.

Ahhhh; yeah, that sounds about right.

Everyone also take note; the tickets for session one and session two were different colors. So if you go to both sessions, don't buy a crapload more tasting tickets right before the session ends.
Though, with 30, you probably shouldn't have to.

The volunteers doing the pouring didn't even look at the tix last year, so we were using afternoon tix at the evening session.

first time at FOBAB then? 30 tickets should be plenty unless you're Andre the Giant or were in the Replacements

Hey man, it's only 60oz of high octane beer. Sounds like a rip to me.

*I am not a small man and was cooked with 10/20 tix left last year*

Yes first time to FOBAB, and I know I will have a hard time getting through all 30 tickets. 30 doesn't seem like a lot, but like I said, those high abv beers will treat me well!

Half the time the volunteers don't even take the tickets. I had quite the abundance of pours last year and still had a shit ton of tickets last year. No one should complain about 30 tickets. You won't use them all, I promise.

Every event in and around Chicago has tickets now. But I've yet to leave one of these fests without a straggler or two in my pocket. The Oak Park Micro Brew tomorrow has 30 tickets too. 30 must be the new "unlimited."

I remember tickets for the last 2 fobabs (and left with some) but not Oak Park.

We had wristbands in Oak Park last year, if I remember correctly. But my reminder email mentioned 30 tickets this year. I was sort of hoping that since it wasn't a Chicago event, the "happy hour' rule wouldn't apply. Apparently it does.

Anyone care to speculate some stuff that will be poured? I'm hoping for DDG... considering Lost Abbey has brought some solid stuff including the track collection and Veritas in the past, it would not be shocking. Hoping to get a chance to try Perennial's Blueberry Flanders as I missed out on it last year. What are some other hopefuls?

Not sure what y'all are talking about but all the workers at all of these events always follow the rules to a T as far as I'm concerned... And I'm sure the fine folks at the ILCC would love to hear the same...

How strict is this law? Can a person pouring beer be charged with something if they hand out a pour without taking a ticket?
