I highly doubt it(and not even sure that the ILCC would be the ones enforcing such things) but my point is that just maybe this sort of thing is simply better left not bragged about openly. In a public forum. On the internet .

It's probably in all of our best interest to NOT shine a bright light on potential gray areas, particularly those gray area that might get everyone a few extra samples here and there..., etc etc etc...

Besides - like I said before - they always take tickets from everyone all the time anyhow...

It was 16 tickets last year; two sheets of 8

You are correct... I actually had to buy some extra tickets last year.

Seriously, this is why we can't have nice things.

This is correct. There wasn't any need to purchase more after those were gone though. There were pitchers of awesome beers sitting out with nobody even paying attention to them. I had a couple glasses of Black Note towards the end.

I'm hoping TG makes an appearance with the trio (or just one or two). That would be awesome. Also the BCS variants I look forward to as well.

That would be cool although I have never seen TG at a Chicago fest (or even Illinois) so I doubt they will be there.

They told me somewhere in the Midwest forum a couple months back that they planned on attending

Somehow made it to 4 tickets left last year, and I am a medium-sized man. I knew all this tolerance-building drinking was good for something.

I also remember getting on the bus afterward and seeing the horrified look on the face of a woman with a baby stroller as she realized that 40 shit-faced people had just gotten on the bus. A girl who does sales at Perennial was making weird faces at the baby and trying to make (slurred) small talk with the mom, who nodded politely and probably got off a few stops early.

I tried to hop a bus to the train last year, but some asshole violently spewed everywhere as soon as I got on. He then refused to get off so the driver flagged a squad down and told us we had to wait for a new bus.

I jogged off some of my beer.

My bus and train ride home went flawlessly, as far as I remember it.

yeah, this. Because anyone really gives a shit. Remember how we have the highest murder rate in the country? Pretty sure people of authority have other things to worry about rather than talking online about how they laxed on pours late in the session.

Also, I just checked, and as of now tickets this year are $50/each. $52.74 after service fee.

I bet the Ashland bus won't be bad. It is just the 35th St. bus with everyone trying to get to the red line. I know my Halsted bus experience last year was totally fine.

Yeah this - because clearly the same authorities/agencies working to keep the murder rate down are the ones who would be enforcing state/county regulations at a beerfest... ???

If you don't think there are beer related events in this country where local and/or state authorities are on hand to make sure the rules & regulations are being obeyed, you haven't been following this stuff enough... It IS happening (in other parts of this state even) and in plenty of other places throughout the US, and while it might not be happening here in Chicago (yet), I don't see why we should throw it in the faces of the authorities and draw unnecessary, potentially negative, attention by bragging online about how "OMG I GOT SO WASTED BECAUSE NO ONE TOOK MY TICKETS"

All I'm saying is I wish people would use a bit of common sense and help keep one of the top events in the country as awesome as it is...

Oh I was just messing around - not really making a point to avoid public transportation - it has served me well in past years after FOBAB

The Ashland bus served me well last year -- at least until I got off at Chicago Ave. because I decided it would be a good idea to "cleanse the palete" with a Negroni or two at Bar DeVille.
