I only have 15 hefes logged on my list but have found that I really enjoy the style, so just looking for some recommendations on some new ones to try. I really enjoyed the Weihenstephaner, perhaps only topped by SN Kellerweis in my opinion so far.

    So what are your favorites?

I've never had Live Oak and would love to try it but I've had a few and New Glarus Dancing Man is the best I have had - and I love the style also.

I really dig Schnickelfritz from Urban Chestnut. You would have to trade for it though.

    I've found this list:

    http://beeradvocate.com/lists/style/89

predicts my favorites pretty well. I can't find all of them in local stores but the ones I do find I've enjoyed.

They don't, he's talking about growlers. That's how it's been done for the years past and continues to be.

Others have named most that I would suggest. Given your stated preference, you'd be best to avoid "American Wheat" beers.

Weihenstephan is king but I'm pretty partial to Wieninger and Paulaner as well. Schneider isn't too shabby either.

Yep, all of this. I really like Hacker-Pschorr's too. Or, y'know, just grab a Kellerweis.

You can't beat Weihenstephaner, but NG Dancing Man Wheat is probably the best American version.
