Can we assume there will be more available with this change? InBev did expand the warehouse capacity, though that was only last year I believe...

is it just me or does Hopslam taste different this year?

It's a known fact that Bell's puts less and less hops into Hopslam each year, at the current rate the 2020 batch will only have 1 pellet per barrel. Founders does the same thing with the Plato of their stouts.

Different spices. More cinnamon, and they got rid of the saffron.

That's a great point.....it will be like KBS where I'll have to try to buy one bottle at a few stores to try to get a 4 pack

For a beer that isn't even released yet...there is sure a lot of whining and crying going on.

Oh, right. Yeah, Hopslam switched to buckwheat honey this year. I thought it still tasted "otay!"

Presumably, but take this sketchy third-hand information for what it's worth: Last week a guy at Irving Park Liquor said that BCBCS was first hitting in September to allow for wider distribution over a longer time frame. I said something like "Er, really? I hadn't heard that," and he said he heard it from his distributor.

It will never happen. :slight_frown: It's been shot down about 3 times in 2 years. Too many mothers against drunk driving actually think their underage child will want to drink a 15% stout rather than natty light or cheap vodka.
