"But Jim, it's only 9 a.m.!" They shouted. I'm on vacation. In Vermont. Last night I had a few pours of Lawson's Double Sunshine, HF Edward and HF Amarillo (which I should mention is amazing. My favorite of this trip so far and one of the best beers I've ever had).

So, yeah, I don't have to do shit for a week. So this is what my 9 a.m. looks like :

Blackback Pub in Waterbury had Amarillo, Edward, and Society & Solitude #7 on tap. Also, according to their latest draft list, Prohibition Pig (right across the street from Blackback) has it on tap too. Blackback is also where I had the Double Sunshine.

Prohibition was closed for a staff appreciation trip to Six Flags, but I still plan on trying to get there today or Thursday. The great tap list is one thing, but the 12 hour smoked brisket is calling out to me too.

Will see if a quad is as effective as an IPA as a late morning beer...

McEwan's Champion. I'm a sucker for Burton ales, old ales, barley wines etc. This is pretty good.

This seemed like a solid choice.

After starting the hop harvest. At least the cool damp summer seemed to agree with something! Hoping it stays rain free for a couple more days to finish the job. Cheers to all the growers out there!
