When "craft" brewers make crap like this , it is "experimental".

When BMC makes crap like this, it is "gimmicky".

I love avocados, I do not want them anywhere near my beer. I already had a Chips n Salsa beer, it has been a couple years and my palate still does not forgive me.

When it is good it is experimental.

When it is bad it is gimmicky.

Plenty of craft breweries get the gimmicky label plastered all over them.

The garbage served up by Rogue and Shorts mentioned in the article is some of the worst swill I have had the misfortune of putting in my mouth.

I wouldn't just drink it, I'd probably fuck it.

(oh shit, was that out loud?)

How did your urine smell after that?

A really graphic description would be preferred.

I'm down. I will try any beer twice. FYI if you haven't had Willoughbys peanut butter cup coffee porter mentioned, look for it if you're ever in Cleveland. That stuff is legendary!

Avacado has very little flavor. Why would you bother?

I thought Terrapin's Liquid Bliss was total crap - chocolate and peanut butter. The peanut butter "taste" was so off-putting, it seemed extremely artificial.

I really liked the Liquid Bliss, it sold out extremely quickly at the bottle shop I work at. I had several friends (the ones not hugely into craft) say it was one of their favorite beers. I tried not to think too much about the beer while I drank it, and knew that it would be enjoyable as a dessert beer, in the most literal sense of the word.

guacamole is like a healthy mayonnaise so if it actually pans out they can brew a mayonnaise beer

A big, oily piece of fruit in the beer can't be good for head retention.

Ever had an over-ripen avocado? It can get quite smokey/meaty, once I discovered this I wondered about the possibilities of brewing with them to create some sort of rauchbier.
