I was about to hop on this thread and brag about CCB and their impressive stout resume. Glad to find they are the catalyst for this question. From what I know they are by far the best. But I don't know everything.

I've never had one of the Whales, but the best Stout I've ever had was an Eclipse 50/50 EC 20 year old. I really tasted the dark fruit, raisins, plums etc, really a tremendous stout, but pricy, but this one is easily worth the price.

So like the most good stouts?

I'm thinking the Yeti line from Great Divide might be pretty hard to beat especially factoring in availability. Sure other breweries put out better rarities but most I can't get.

Well, I'd think that Founders probably takes it as far as availability and wholesome goodness.

Pretty much everyone of those CCB beers are local only, can't even make enough to get spread about Florida.

Great Divide has a bunch and you can find Yeti everywhere as well.

In terms of variety, ccb and great divide. 5050 and founders makes some pretty tasty stuff as well.

Being from Minnesota I do not have access to CCB. I have had thru trade a Brandy Hunahpu. I must say it was one if the best stouts I have ever had. For me personally 1-Goose Island 2- Toppling Goliath 3- Bells.

Cafe Americano on nitro is THE best stout I've ever had. Picked up a growler of it today. Nectar of the Gods. They really should just make it a normal beer in the tasting room. I'm going poor going there and buying it all the time.

And I'd agree with CCB, but others are correct that most of theirs are very hard to find (and I even visit Florida/the brewery often)

I'm from Michigan and Tampa. Founder's all the way. I don't understand CCB's hype.

Love the CCB stouts I've had, but I have to go through so much effort just to drink them.
