I just hope the program is fully assembled last year, that removable piece of paper with later additions or whatever had me bumbling like an idiot to find things.

 

there were a lot of treats in the bottles area that i didn't know were in bottles and separated from the groups. i missed a thing or two after i found out. even though the brochure had bottles labeled. i don't think it was complete.

 

Right? Too bad they dont early release the program in PDF, so I dont spend the first 15 min in a sober panic, pacing the middle of the floor, words on pages running together...

 

This is exactly what happened to me too! I got the '' What the hell is wrong with you/Why did I marry this guy'' look from my wife.

 

Agreed that it made it more difficult, but this is tough to do based on the fact that there are always late additions or deletions to the offerings provided by the breweries at events such as this (beer not ready and replaced, brewers want to experiment, particular style is ready ahead of the original plan, etc.).

I would rather the GTMW folks follow this model as opposed to always having a bunch of TBD or blank offerings in the program year after year, though going off and exploring to see if there are any surprises not in the program at the Great Taste is fun in and of itself.

 

Pro-tip for evening session goers: go on untappd and see what people are checking into at FOBAB and plan accordingly. Or freak out accordingly, as I did last year when I saw four Lost Abbey Tracks were being poured.
