It tastes a little bit better than most AAL's but not by much. I think it's trendiness has died down a bit so it's finally cheap again to.

Also, not in the poll, I think the can looks sweet and living in Milwaukee I really love the history of the beer And the legacy of Frederick Pabst.

it's cheap, it's good for chasing whiskey and a lot of my friends who don't drink craft like to load up our hotel rooms with it when it's time for pearl jam tour.

Brings back fond memories of my college days. When you are broke and a bar has $1 PBR pounders, you learn to like them. I don't drink it often, usually when hanging out with friends with less sophisticated taste in beer.

I drink it because one of my local beer bars sells it for $1.00 a mug every day of the week... Sometimes its a nice change.

I dunno. I like PBR sometimes. Like when I am at the shore and I wander into a random bar and they have a PBR Pounder for 2.50. I get one and enjoy it for what I remember my parents and adult relatives used to do when they vacationed and gathered. Same thing with IC light pounders.

I prefer 'Gansett myself, an I'll settle for Banquet or a High Life as well. Like to keep some in the fridge most of the time, for when I want a simple 'beery' tasting beer, or when I don't want to waste the good stuff when I've been drinking a good amount.

I can get Hamm's here so if, for what ever reason, I want to buy cheap, crappy beer I have better options.

$4.55 for a sixer of 16oz cans? It's a no brainer for when I don't feel like drinking more expensive craft beer.

PBR complements the muffin top sticking out my tight ass jeans.

People drink PBR at the bar for the same reason they go home with cut-rate women. They are drunk, broke and have low standard.

I'm going to take this as lampooning hipsterdom, because it's what every hipster on the planet says.

I rarely drink Pabst these days but when I did I liked it because it seemed to be the cheapest brew wherever I went, which was important to me as I was poor. (This was back when the Pabst/Hipster meme was first getting up on its hind legs; its price point was its chief allure and I figured it was a wildly inaccurate meme, but then apparently self-identifying hipsters learned of it and followed suit... meaning if my sense of things was correct, Pabst became hipsterbrau well after it had gained a rep as hipsterbrau.) I also liked it a little bit more than your typical AAL, though Schlitz was my first choice if it was available.

Eventually I started making a bit more money and, around the same time, quit smoking, which itself kept an extra eight-plus dollars in my pocket everyday. Excelsior: I could afford better beer, and I haven't chosen a Pabst since unless someone handed me one or I was on some crowded floor while a band was playing and I was likely to get half the beer knocked out of my hand anyway.

Right now I'm drinking a Pretty Things Meadowlark.

This anecdote has been brought to you by the National Commission for Cool Story Bro.
