I've never been a fan of Tumbler, and judging by how long that stuff hung around on the store shelves in my area, I wasn't the only one. I am always looking forward to another SN IPA and love the fact that it is readily available and typically pretty damn fresh even on the east coast. Between Flipside (assuming its good) and Celebration fall is looking up.

I think this is going spent a lot of time in my fridge! Tumbler not my thing, but this is perfect for the hop heads who suffer in the Fall. Excellent decision.

Completely agree with you. I don't find Tumbler to be impressive at all. It's just an average brown ale, and hopefully it gets retired and replaced with something better (maybe Flip Side?). There's a grocery store right by my house with last year's Tumbler still on the shelves. I feel sorry for the sap that buys it.

I'm pretty sure they are keeping Tumbler.

I look forward to having this one. I enjoy Tumbler though, and called Chico, CA to see if its time on the shelves would be reduced. According to the person I spoke to, Tumbler would be on the same schedule as usual...time will tell.

Flipside, Tumbler and Narwhal are all on the shelves in Chico. Should be out nationwide soon!

I've heard that this beer is a derivative of beer camp #95.
Originally Beer Camp #95 was to have 95 IBU's & be 9.5 ABV.
The beer camp release was tuned back a bit, and the flip side looks to be a similar beer build.
It has the same malt build, and similar hop build, though they've change a few hops out for another.
    Either way, I can't wait!!
    Oh, here's the sell sheets

    THANK you.

Sierra Nevada does not make big resinous, delicate, juicy IPA's that get the monstrous reviews but yet fall off due to their delicate recipe, but rather, make perfectly balanced, no complaints, "that's sierra nevada" beer.

I don't typically like brown ale. I just find them boring, but I do like Tumbler. It does hang on the shelf forever though. Most places know 6'rs and 12'rs down to almost nothing by June because theres still a ton on the shelves near me.
