We bought our first house last month, and now that the actual "needed" repairs are done, my wife wants brewing equipment to be the next purchase (she's never brewed before & really wants to do it with me), so now I get to plan it all out & buy the stuff. I'm still brainstorming on what I want, but I thought it would be fun to start this & get some ideas. I know there's already a "post your cellar" & a "post your bar" forum, but I couldn't find one where people were showing off their carboys or barrels or brew equipment setup.

Our brew station will likely be in the garage (& give up my parking space to do so), with some sort of rack in the basement to hold carboys / buckets..

I don't have any pics (my setup is very modest) but for storage I've had really good luck using bike hooks to store buckets, kettles, etc. in the basement. FWIW.

I don't have any pics, but there is nothing spectacular to show anyway. I have a few buckets, glass carboys, auto siphon, hydrometer, cooler mash tun, etc... Really just standard stuff. The things I have built are a natural gas burner (which I recommend) and a fermentaion cooler. The cooler is made of plywood and insulation with the guts from a fridge to cool it. I built it with some storage on the side, so that's a plus. Although, most of my equipment just gets set on top.
If you plan to brew in your garage, don't forget about adequate ventilation (especially for propane).

I'll be building a metal single tier system soon enough, but for now..

I have a wooden table, that my mash tun and HLT sit on. Both round coolers. A big propane burner and a 12gal SS kettle.. It all flows nicely, works well, and makes great beer.

Only draw back is dragging it all out. The ones reason I literally hate brewing. If I had a single tier on a stand with wheels, I'd brew way, way more often. I've got plenty of room to brew, and a huge fermentation freezer that holds 6-7 carboys, and a keezer that holds 5 kegs.

No pics either, here. I have a turkey fryer propane burner, a series of pots, 16, 30, 32 and roughly 80 qt. A 48qt cooler with copper manifold for mash tun. couple plastic fermenter buckets, (2)6.5 and 5 gallon glass and (2)6.5Gal. better bucket carboys. Assorted paraphernalia. 4x ball lock corny kegs with party charger.
Next up is wort chiller, and when I get the space, money and permission from SWMBO the rest of the keg dispensing gear.

Mine evolved almost every brew day, I need to build something more permanent. I have a false bottom in my Mash tun, a bunch of carboys, a couple whiskey barrels, a stir plate with a 2L flask, a stir plate, a keggle, a 7.5 gallon kettle and I just got a fermentation fridge. There's a bunch Im leaving out Im sure... We are looking for a new place where I can have some dedicated brewing space, then we wont be filling barrels in the bathroom

Very nice system. If I had something like that I'd have to either turn into a nice guy so I'll have friends or buy a spare liver.

Are some of those Stout Kettles? If so, how do you like them?

Yes, mash tun and conical are from Stout. Really like them. Wish we would have gone with 2bbl conical, as it is pressure-tested to 14 psi and would allow us to utilize a spunding device like traditional German lager brewers use.

    10 gallon MLT
10 gallon brewpot with turkey fryer burner
8 gallon buckets for primary fermentation
Glass carboys of various sizes for longterm secondary

    Chill with immersion chiller
    Shake for oxygenation
    1 gallon jug for starters

Not sure what else I'd need, to be honest.

Not the greatest picture, but here is a pic of my stands and 26 gallon kettles from a recent 15 gallon batch of no sparge Mild. Not pictured (2x 10 gallon kettles, 1x 15 gallon keggle, hop rocket, therminator, Jamil Immersion chiller). Kettles outfitted with interior pick up tubes and will soon have recirculation fittings inserted into their side walls and the lid on one 26 gallon kettle cut to accomodate the sparge arm shown below.

My fermentation side consists of 1 fridge & freezer combo and a large chest freezer outfitted with a ranco dual stage. 2x 10 gallon Spiedels, 8x 6 gallon better bottles, 4x 3 gallon better bottles, 20 or so 5 gallon buckets. Keg wise, 10x 5 gallon kegs, 2x 3 gallon kegs, 2 CO2 Tanks, three regulators.

Do you use an immersion pump for the chiller? Ive been wanting to do something like that but wasn't sure what kind of flow rate I needed. I plan to use a march pump for the whirlpool but would like to use something not as expensive for the water side...

$60 aquarium pump in a bucket of water. I use it with my plate or immersion chiller, works fine. I wish I would have went a little higher flow rate instead of the 1056 GPH pump I bought.
