Most of their bombers are $8 or $10 at the brewery, but can range up to $18. Their six-packs are reasonably priced but they recently increased the price of a case from $35 to $40. Capitalism at its finest I guess?

Is that what they're charging for Ballast Point in Texas? Yeah, too much. Here in CA, it's more like $12.00. Still pricey for a sixer, but not crazy at around $2.00 a 12 ounce bottle for that particular beer.

Want to see overpriced? Here's from a store email today:
Evil Twin is expensive, but no more than the other twin, although most of Evil Twin wares are middling at best. The Bruery and The Lost Abbey compete for high-priced limited edition slots, but TLA regular offerings are more expensive. Ommegang has gone right past the sweet spot and straight into overpriced category--Duvel may want to condition customers to pay for "premium", but my feeling is that customers will condition Duvel to GFT.

Shit, I saw a 6er going for near $20 here in VA. Ridiculous

Again, happy I live fairly close to the brewery. Their prices are in line with other quality San Diego breweries up here in Los Angeles.

I love seeing all these imported breweries here.

Our Mikkeller is cheaper than in Denmark sometimes

One "overpriced" beer doesn't mean the whole brewery is overpriced. Part of this also sounds like an issue with the distributor/store not the brewery.

Rogues sixers are $10 and bombers are $5-$6.
I'll buy Hazelnut Nectar, Yellow Snow, Mocha Porter, Shakespeare and Chocolate stout at those prices all day long.

I think Mikkeller has to be the poster child of overpriced. Don't get me wrong, their beers are good, but come on.
    $17.99 for "It's Alive 375ml"
$5.99 for their singe hop IPA's

I can get better sours/wilds for under 36/750mL and much much better IPA's 36/6-pack.

Actually, now that I think of it, The Bruery is cheap compared to Mikkeller.

I'd rather have a bomber, anyway. Who drinks 6 of the same beer? :-)

Seriously, though, I just checked out Sculpin pricing on my local BevMo site. A 22 ounce bomber is $8.49 and a six pack is $14.99.

That's 38.5 cents an ounce in bombers and (strangely) 21 cents an ounce in the six pack. Why is the sixer cheaper? Weird. Anyway, this doesn't seem extraordinarily out of line, though I prefer other IPAs to this one.

Dogfishhead. They do some creative and interesting stuff with ingredients and methods, but the end result beers do very little for me. Since their TV show, there seems to be no end in demand for DFH beers, so their beers are usually on the higher end of the price spectrum, which is good for them, but it's not worth it to me.

I've never seen a reasonably priced Brewdog beer either, even the ones that don't come in the taxidermied skin of a small rodent.

Zombie dust costs $14-16 for a six pack. Alpha King and Gumballhead sixers $12-15. The cheapest bomber I've seen was $8.99 (Moloko and Rabbid Rabbit). Most are in the $11-14 range.

Have a look at their online store. $60 for a hoodie.

I'm not a fan of the exact same dryness and bitterness perceptible in all their IPA's. Some people obviously enjoy this, but I do not.

So, IMO, it's not worth the cost.

As an example, the R&R Coconut IPA was at best a $5 bomber...yet I paid $10.

I wonder why some breweries price the way they do. Lagunitas seems to turn everything a little more to the fair scale. They must make money, so good on them!
