What exactly does each $100 ticket entitle? I've never been to this release (don't go to very many at all for that matter) and am not familiar in how it works. Does the $100 ticket guarantee you a particular number of allocations? Or does each ticket holder have to fight through a barrage of people and lines after presenting this ticket simply for entry?

I got the whole set last year, I probably wouldn't do it again but I'd love to get my hands on a bottle of Java Coffee and Pappy.

Traditionally they only sell about 100 tickets so there is no 'barrage' of people, and lines are not a problem. The ticket just gains you access to the party, which entails all you can drink Eclipse (among other 5050 beers) and a giant spread of meat/cheese/fruit. They also have a list of bottles/limits that are available for purchase at any time during the party - last year they had Jeroboams of the 2012 Grand Cru for $175 (I think)- I still regret not picking one up (altho god knows what I'd do with it.)

Well that's a relief. Thanks for the clarification.
It's a 7 hour drive for me so unless I can find some BA's or buddies who are up for it too, I may pass this one up and kick myself for it later.

Wow $100...but hearing it's all you can drink. Although I'm not local, my boss is and a trip to the area in early Dec for work sounds nice.

I forgot to add that (at least historically) the ticket also entitles you to a special party-exclusive bottle of Eclipse, which should definitely be considering when putting 'value' on the ticket.

Not to mention the ridiculous bottle share that ensues after you drink your fair share of Eclipse.

Not familiar with the ski season in Tahoe, but what is the likelihood of skiing around that time?

Hopefully some fresh powder but the last few years been a bit dry. Most likely artificial snow but if we get more rain this fall it could change thing . I'm hoping it pours this year too.

Crap that doesn't help me, like I need other reasons to bring my multiple verticals of Darkness to share elsewhere.

PS i honestly have never opened a bottle of my Darkenss I've gotten the past 3 years at D-Day. I always share or trade them. So times like this are perfect.

Probably >$30. Last year the EC20 was $34, IIRC. So I'd expect around there.
