    Hi All--

There haven't been any indications of infection through the normal course of our testing, and the bottles that have been tested in the last few days haven't indicated any issues. We'll be looking further into this.

    Cheers,
    Patrick

Also got a bottle that tasted off. Nowhere near what the 2012 white chocolate tasted like.

I opened one of my 2013 bottles last week; it tasted perfectly fine. No tartness/infection detected.

I know threads like this will drive some folks insane, and although it isn't wise to jump to conclusions... I am guilty of being a little concerned. Brother ordered 12 bottles that he has yet to pick up and I have 5 on the way via GSO.

Thanks for the reassurance Patrick, I'm sure we all appreciate it. Will chime in once I crack open a bottle or two this weekend.

My bad, that's what I get for posting and drinking. By "off" I mean it tasted slightly sour like the ebony and Oak I've also opened recently.

I think I have around 20 bottles of this at home. Haven't tried one yet. I was hoping for a repeat of last year. Now I'm even more tempted to open a bottle.

I don't know why people are nervous. The Bruery is notorious for actually refunding money for beer that is not right. It is totally fine to be sad if this is one of your favorite beers and it turns out to be infected. But nervous?

Yes, nervous that it will be infected, or concerned, anxious to taste it, after reading the reviews etc. sad is the after effect, nervous is before having had a chance to taste it.

Did you check for instances of spiked blood sugar levels and cavities in the people who sampled them?

But then you would only have 19 bottles left.

Although I believe 2012 was waaaay better, I didn't think 2013 was infected. But now I begin to wonder. If it is infected, my apologies to my traders ;(

I'm probably blind (or I have a '12), but I can't seem to see a year on the label. Just assumed I had a '13 since I received it through the Preservation Society this Spring. My bottle's ABV is 14.25%, and it looks like another batch is 14%. Any idea what I got?

That's actually leftover '12, which is what the PS received. '13 just came out in the last month.

I'm pretty sure what you got is 2012 if there is no year plus i doubled checked ABV is 14.25%. The new wax is super white vs. B1 WC ABV the wax is almost clear/cream color.
