Vanishing Jai Alai

Where in FL are you?

 

Whatever allocations make it down there go pretty fast. They're adding fermenters at a rapid clip and brewing all the Jai Alai they can, so it will get better. Other alternative is to move to Tampa. Been thinking about it lately...

 

You could live on worse beers. Pretty lucky over here in swfl, I usually find 2-3 day old Jai alai pretty much every week.

 

Most places are getting them and they fly off the shelves the same day if not the day after. I would suggest finding out what days the trucks hit the places you frequent and call the stores the day of to see if they got it in yet.

 

You told me a week ago its aboundant. No?

If you can't find Jai Alai, just get White Oak Jai Alai instead. It's better and is common, or so I hear.

I have regular Jai Alai in my fridge as well. No White Oak though. How much do you have? Oh wait, I would expect none. It's far too common for you to keep. :-)

 

Looks like ill have to pick up a few 6 packs when im at the brewery today.

Also I havent white oak Jai Alai on the shelves in a while. There was humidor available last week at TW, not sure how old it was but still good nonetheless

 

We were talking about palm beach county.

 

I check my local Publix for Jai Alai on Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday. I've had good luck on all those days. Sometimes there is some left on Sundays. For some reason I've had poor luck finding it at WF or TW.
Don't over stock as the following week you might find some one week old Jai Alai and still have three week old at home. Yes, it happened to me!
If in need of some good fresh IPA, you can always get a growler of Hop Gun. Not the same, but also a great IPA, IMO.

 

I found some recently at ABC in Fort Lauderdale for $9.99 a sixer. Stopped in a week later and they only had Maduro & FL Cracker. Seems like every time I go into Publix they either have no CCB or only Maduro & Cracker. Probably because SILVER is buying them all. Just kidding! TW guards the stuff behind the counter and sells it all same day it comes in, so it's pretty much impossible to find there.

 

we're definitely brewing more Jai Alai than ever. you see all those big ass 120bbl fermentors at the brewery? pretty much all Jai Alai. i guess people like this beer though because it just doesn't sit around for very long anywhere.

 

I see Jai Alai pretty fresh and regularly at most of the TWs in the Tampa Bay area, and at all the Publixes by me. SamsClub in Pinellas Park too.

I have yet to see any White Oak Jai Alai anywhere though. Maybe I just have shitty timing.

 

Just bought 2 day old jai alai!!! So good!
