He(+ mules) bought 24 bottles. Left with two full boxes. What's he charging 100+?

I would like to congratulate this thread for going seven posts without a Red Barn joke.

Picked up bottles at the first session. Free DDG taster, DDG shirts available. Good tap list, had a bottle of Track #9. 5 and 7 bottles had just run out (I'm assuming they're holding a certain amount of bottles per session). Checkin and bottle pickup took all of 3 minutes. Great release.

    P.S. DDG tastes wonderful.

My friend is going on Sunday at 12pm. Can he buy other bottles (FdA, CdT, Track #) to go or are those only for on site consumption? Do they have any teku glasses for purchase too?

Just got back from picking up the ducks. Virtually no line and very easy pick up. A lot better than what I expected.

1 sample per purchase, DDG sticker included, and shirts for sale. Sadly no DDG specific glassware.

The sample was awesome and was better than the b1 I had earlier in the year IMO.

    Cheers!

Not sure if this will be true for all sessions, but they had bottles of tracks #4-11, 13 available for onsite consumption in the morning. #7 was my favorite although #8 was really surprising (not a big quad guy but the cinnamon nose/flavors put it over the top for me). The taster of DDG was great as well.

Can anyone tell me if there is a year on the label, or if these DDGs look exactly like the first batch?

After a fun-packed, 3 hour plus drive from North OC through splendorous Labor Day holiday traffic, I found a spot in the Lost Abbey parking lot at 11:08 am. There was no line. There was nobody working the check-in booth, either.

Filled with dread, I hunted down a guy pulling guard duty on several cases of DDG under a canopy. Fortunately, I got the total Island attitude, like, 'no problem, mon.' My ducks were in a row in a matter of a few minutes.

FWIW, when I signed the check-in page, out of about 50 names, there were only two purchasers who had apparently not picked up their allotment.

FWIWx2 - I found DDG to be a delicious aged sour ale. Definitely worth the hassle.

I second all the reviews about the ease of pick-up this morning at the first session. Went at 10:45 and there was no line or hassle. Everyone was super chill, friendly, and helpful. Definitely made the experience more pleasant.

As for the sample, I haven't tried the previous DDG, but this release is really nice, smooth, and tart. Really tastes like they put their time into it. Perfect for the weather. Complex beer with the most remarkable finish. Poof. Just gone.

    Good job Lost Abbey.

Am I the only person going to Sundays afternoon session?? Anyone sharing bottles of any kind? (I was thinking of bringing a DDG (#1) just to compare for fun. (Yes, I know..., clearly, big difference between a new release and a beer at least 4 yrs old; still I think it would be fun).

All of the information above is really appreciated. Any more "answers" appreciated since I'll be there for the last session tomorrow.

No agonizing hardships during bottle pickup? Oh no - the trade value is plummeting!

Was fairly hot and very crowded in the tasting room. Does that count?

The beer pickup was well organized, easy, and quick. Hell, it took longer to collect my bottles from AleSmith when I went there after Lost Abbey (although to be fair, AleSmith still only took 5 minutes).

The tasting room at Lost Abbey was packed, and was as hot and humid as a mouth. I didn't stay long after savoring my sample of DDG. Very tasty stuff indeed. Bright, tart, lovely carbonation, well-integrated funk, and that slight mid-palate saltiness I remember vividly from the first batch.
