    A new release at the monopoly, a "crafty" lager beer brewed with American hops from one of the Swedish macro breweries, Spendrups. 4.5% abv, IBUs just north of 30 (they haven't released the specs sheet yet but the percieved bitterness is in line with their other crafty lager beers which are around 31-33 IBU). It's dry despite the use of some caramel malts (it's made with pilsner, light and dark caramel malt and melanoidin malt), has a good bitterness to it that lingers and citrusy hops (Cascade, Citra, Perle, Amarillo) that is similar to an APA in flavor intensity, alas it's not in IPA territory. It's really tasty in my opinion and it just goes to show what can be done by a major brewery.

    My first beer of the day! It's nice for an IPA, but I'm wondering why it's referred to as a 'hop bomb'? More balance than bomb.
