So I've been forced to learn about/drink more fruit beers recently. Finding a few solid beers and a couple guilty pleasures... and a LOT of garbage. What fruit beer do you think is best crafted and what's your guilty pleasure?

Solid Fruit Beer: Evil Twin Justin Blaeber
Guilty Pleasure: Harpoon UFO Raspberry (Don't judge me!)

I liked Founders Rubaeus this summer. I also really like Dogfish Head Fort. Founders Blushing Monk, although it's been a couple of years.

New Glarus Serendipity is one of the greatest things I've ever tasted. Their Strawberry Rhubarb is great too.

I haven't tried any of their other fruit beers but I've heard nothing but great things.

New Glarus fruit beers. That's all you really need.

I had Founders Rubaeus on draft the other day and was really surprised about how much I enjoyed it. I went out and got a 4 pack right away.

    Hmm, somewhat emasculating thread....I'll play

Solid fruit beer: New Glarus Serendipity
Guilty pleasure: Fat Head's Bumble Berry Blueberry Honey (I know I shouldn't when my mother in law likes it)

As mentioned, Rubaes was quite good.

And, when one looks at this question in the light of the myriad fruit lambics, the question becomes quite moot.

    Founder's Rubaeus
21st Amendment Hell of High Watermelon
It's not considered a fruit beer, but Petrus Aged Red (cherry)
    Purple Haze
Pumpkin is a fruit right? So Weyerbacher's Imperial Pumpkin
    Wells Banana Bread Beer
CIDER! Esp. Doc's (Dry-hopped is amazing) and Naked Flock (original or draft)

    To name a few

Founders Rubaeus for sure. Just bought a case to stock up due to the limited release.

Shorts Soft Parade is good as well, even though it may be better suited for the ladies.

    There are other fruit beers?

I finished a Moa Breakfast a little while ago, and it was really good. I could see having with an ommelette or French Toast. Seafood too. Very tasty.

I used to love Blue Point Blueberry, and OP yes UFO Raspberry is damn good on occasion. If DFH Black and Blue counts as a fruit beer I will throw that in there as my "solid" fruit beer...

Why would we judge you on the Harpoon when it is something you like? If you like it, drink it. Isn't that what beer drinking is all about?

Because there are armies of "BAs" who are anything but BAs.

i wouldn't say it's a guilty pleasure by any means, but one time i ordered a 10 Barrel Raspberry Crush sour and one of their brewers happened to be at the bar. he looked at me, shook his head and said "that's a girl drink, man." it was as delicious as it was pink, for the record.

Not much of a fruit beer kinda guy but my fiance and I cracked this puppy open tonight and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed - highly recommended! At 15-18% it packs a punch that is hidden/blended well with the not-too-overwhelming raspberry goodness. Cheers all.

Guilty pleasure: Hoegaarden and Framboise mix.

Perfectly said. Finally someone who didn't pull the ole fruit beer is not beer routine. Cheers to whatever you enjoy! And for the record, Harpoon Raspberry UFO is more than a guilty pleasure.
