Apple Brandy Hunahpu Growler question

I had the opportunity to have one in the Spring and it was very tasty. Very little carbonation though, so that might be the only concern.

 

I'd drink that shit.

 

Someone in my tasting group opened one up over the summer and it was even better than the Cali BA Huna we had just before it. Like significantly better, and the bottle of Cali BA Huna was excellent. Since it's a growler and over a year old I'd imagine it would be trading right at that Cali BA Huna, BCBVS, more recent Armand'4, etc. level (no experience trading it or trading for it, but that's what I would guess). But it's still drinking amazingly.

 

So you've been sitting on a growler of one of the finest beers in the world for over a year, and now you are thinking of trading it?

In his defense Barry definitely is not trying to win any trades, ever. I'm sure there's a reason he's considering trading it.

God I hope not. I must admit that I'm a little ashamed to call myself a Californian as a result of this beer.

 

Haha touche... But notice my phrasing that the bottle of BA Cali Huna was excellent (should have been more specific and said that particular bottle). I've had several pours of it from different bottles and had it on tap and sometimes it was just alright, sometimes great, and sometimes I got no barrel character whatsoever and would have thought I was drinking regular '13 Huna. But we can definitely agree that even now AB Huna growlers are drinking waaaayyy better. Now let's just hope the barrel aged Hunahpu's bottle this year is Apple Brandy Huna...

 

I'd be willing to help Barry grab a bottle if anyone has one. Split the potential growler mistake.
