Karbach Cherries of Fire

Personally, I was a bit let down. I had some casks before that blew me away with the cherry profile on it. I feel the cherries weren't as pronounced in this. I mean when I would get it from the cask it would have a red foamy head, which made me go WOW this has cherries!

This one pours black and I don't think it is cherry enough.

Maybe just me but I wonder what some age will do to it. 003 is still my all time fav from them.

 

It's amazing!!! You should trade major walez for it and be eternally grateful to anyone who you get one from!!!

just kidding. But seriously Im not sure at this point. First time i had it I got little to no cherries. Second time i got much more cherry and greatly enjoyed it. Not sure if its my taste buds or what. Without the cherry kick its solid but regular BBH was better (only had 005). With the cherry kick it was quite good and I really enjoyed it. YMMV...

 

Bottles are better than on tap.

I think it is fantastic... glad I was able to grab some bottles.

I still prefer 003, but that is because cherries aren't quite my favorite.

 

I liked this better than 005. Maybe slightly less than 003.

Got 2 bottles in my "beer futures".

 

Looking forward to trying it on tap next week. It'll be nice when we finally get bottles/cans here in SA.

003 is still king in my book, That brew can do no wrong - I have a feeling 007 is going to take it out however.

 

Anyone have an 003 lately? I've still got 1 in the fridge and I'm terrified to open it, lol.
